What's wrong with your balance team this PBE cycle?
Actually, a better question would be, what's wrong with your balance team this SEASON? I've seen some stupid shit, but this is just.... Kassadin nerfs again? Wtf?

When's the last time you saw a sustained damage caster as a popular pick? How many of the popular picks are immobile compared to mobile picks like Kassadin?
If we're talking about balancing the game as a whole, I think Riot's moving in the right direction.

What direction is that? I have no idea. Riot hasn't communicated this supposed "direction" to us, the players. And when they do communicate with us they completely contradict themselves.
Yes I say they contradict themselves because....
"High mobility and burst damage are pretty important for assassins so they can accomplish what they are supposed to, but that means assassins have to give up something elsewhere, such as CC and of course tankiness." -Ghostcrawler
Took Away Kassadin's silence, ok makes sense, fits the model. Took away his cc, cool, everything is going according to plan.
Took away resistances on Akali's shroud. Makes sense, not supposed to have tankiness on assassins.
Wait, what the.... reduced the range on Akali Ult and Kassadin ult.... thats reducing their mobility.... I thought they were supposed to have mobility as assassins. I thought thats what we traded away their CC and Tankiness for!?!?!?!?!?
So please, explain to me what this mystical direction is, because Riot sure hasn't.

What direction? Gating mobility+damage so low mobility, low burst champions can actually see play. Like I asked earlier - how are these champions going to enter play the way the game currently looks?
As for Ghostcrawler, I imagine if you opened up the rest of the discussion for what assassins should do well, it probably shouldn't include reset kills or returning to the fight to kill a 2nd time. Consider a trade where an assassin bursts down a sustained damage mage at the beginning of the fight and gets killed immediately after - who won that trade? I would argue that the assassin still did, because they were able to use more of their damage than the sustained mage did. Even though it looks like a 1-for-1, it leaves the fight looking like a 5v4. For this reason, I think the inclusion of resets and short-cd followups on assassin kits are overkill, and form a big part of why we don't see much for alternatives besides Xerath.
Again, the mystical direction is quite simple - it's trying to place a meaningful weakness on assassins so non-assassins can return to play. I don't think durability is a fair price to pay when you have the burst pattern assassins do (as with the example in the previous paragraph), so this idea that you can grant high damage + high mobility in exchange for something else seems off to me (death is a hell of a good cc, so the utility argument sounds weak too).
Kassadin kind of hard to kill in lane. Which is supposed to be like his primary weakness.. Personally, I've only seen him really killed by Leblanc players.
They want to kill every mobile assasin in the game for some reason with the exception of cancer Zed. And there is a reason why lots of wow player hate Ghostcrawler so don't be surprised about stupid changes.
Lol? Might I mention Ahri received more mobility and buffs.
Do you not understand how the PBE works? I don't mean to be rude, it's just that you don't seem to have any sort of understanding over Riot's testing cycle.
