I get that they need to appease their Chinese overlords at Tencent by raking in as much profit as possible.

So.

Why instead of simply make URF blind pick with bans, do they pool their resources into Overcharge, a game mode people neither want, need nor care for?

To advertise the new PROJECT: skins? Please. Shooting a minion pushing a box aroud won't make me want to buy Jhin's most nasally skin to date.

One is a thing that takes no effort and is what people want. The other is a high-effort joke that'll go back into storage until they release PROJECT: Riven, or PROJECT: Victor. I'm still waiting on that PROJECT: Victor skin. It'd be cool to see Victor with augmented body parts. That would spice things up.

I also like how you can just dismiss their team's effort in creating mini-maps to showcase the skin's theme and the skin themselves, while coming around cynically claiming that they only did this because they want to rake in money. Well no, because if they wanted to just rake in the money they wouldn't put in effort to create the mini-maps in the first place, given that players will buy the skins regardless anyway.
