It is because LoL has a tradition of 2 straight weeks of Poro king during Holiday season. Rotating game modes are only 4 days at a time so 4 weeks of rotating Poro King = 2 straight weeks.

I am also guessing it is because I am pretty sure Riot gives most of it's employees time off during the break and runs at minimum level with as much pre set up stuff as possible to keep us interested (like chests)

So instead of going through the extra maintenance updates and game modes require they just turned one on and let it run so they don't have to deal with any bugs that pop up etc. etc.

Disclaimer: While some of this is based off what Rioters have said a lot of it is educated guesswork based off my knowledge of the company.

they should really make at least 1 other new snow/christmas related game mode by the end of the year to at least rotate with poro king around christmas for 4 weeks (not 5 weeks though) its actually important riot gets off this opportunity for good PR, so its important they keep that for the younger players, but also change up the game modes to make it bearable for regular people

I can only see that being fun for Draven, and only if you do it only once, and the intention is to get that one Draven full build on his first death because he's catching every axe from everyone.

For the record, I do like the game mode. I just like ranked more, so I haven't played it once this time around.

So you don't like the game mode enough.

Which is the point I'm trying to make. If people aren't playing it instead of the regular options, there's no reason to keep it up forever.

I just cannot make Quinn work on Howling Abyss and I've tried everything (as well as every possible build). I enjoy playing her, but I feel like I just hold my team back by picking her.
