Win Streak then Loss Streak Repeated

Okay, I understand that losses happen. I understand that promos are just like any other game in which I've the same chance at winning.

However, I have noticed a pattern that regardless of what efforts I make. Regardless of how I contribute to my team, it bears little impact on the outcome.

I usually manage a positive KDA. I ward (a lot). I help when I can and where it is needed. And I CS rather well according to my averages.

That said, whenever I manage enough wins to near my next promotion, I suffer an equal number of defeats shortly after. They aren't spaced apart either. I enjoy a clump of victories and then I suffer a clump of defeats.

Even as I am writing this, I just got q'ed up with a troll who hijacked our top lane despite being given the support role, stating that they would feed if they didn't get top lane.

This match making really needs to be fixed.

This happens because your MMR rises when you win and then you get to a point beyond your skill level and you start losing games. It happens to me all the time. S5-S4 is around my skill. I start losing games when I play against all Silver teams and when my MMR drops to where I'm getting Bronze teams, I carry like crazy. Cycle just repeats over and over again.

Same happens here regardless of ranked matches or not, go on a massive win streak, then get super natural forces to force me to lose, like a run it down mid person who died in my line 9 times before the game was over from my team sitting in base all refusing to play because of this douchewad.

There is supposedly something built into matchmaking to force you to lose matches in order to keep some stupid % of win to loss ratios.

So what, exactly, is the point to ranked? I'm forced to remain in silver forever all because of a number I cannot control says so? That regardless of what I learn, what I do to improve my game, no matter how well I become, I am trapped?

I can't just start all over on a smurf account to see if I will do any better with a fresh score. I've invested far too much in my account. All the runes, champions, and skins. I can't just give that all up. I can't start over from scratch.

What, exactly, can I do to beat the odds?

It's been my experience of over 4 years, that you can't.

The unsaid reason for the aggressive 50/50 problem (that riot won't ever confirm because how could they without blowback?), I'm thinking is due to brought accounts and boosting.

It helps combat the paid for services frustrated, or impatient players are paying for on many sites. Sites where you will find aim bots for FPS games, and scripts etc.

They can't publicly address these issues, or don't care to, as it highlights the fact this is going on and brings it to the attention of people who didn't realize it's there so they in turn will go out and find the paid for services, and also ultimately due to the fact they can't stop it.

Look at MMorpg games which have attempted to move mountains to remove currency & account sellers, sometimes changing whole game dynamics and economy to try and stamp it out.

Paid for accounts, pre made partners, scripts, all are big money makers. Every region has this problem in League of Legends in spades, especially in ranked play.

TLDR: the force win loss 50/50 is to try and keep a handle on people trying to buy their way to a higher ranking, so that eventually they will hopefully be brought down to the level they should be at.

If you ever have a big win streak, you will notice you will be matched with (not better skilled players as riot claims) players of lesser skill on your team, who have a record of reports (doesn't mean they have been banned) against them, and logged afk's.

There is no such thing as a forced 50/50. As your MMR increases you are matched with higher MMR teammates and opponents. In that sense the game is harder but in no other way does the system try to give you harder games after you have been winning games.

Every popular online multiplayer at the moment, is designed to generate money yes?

Overwatch, Dota, any popular game right now, is made so you want to keep playing. The corporate minds behind the money mechanics for this game have come about with the 50/50.

Look on any forum for each game, players always mention a pattern. People talk about the MMR, but how can that explain the team members you are suddenly put with?

Think about it properly for a second. You are with decent team members for so many games in a row, and then all of a sudden afk's and trolls appear again, for a a few games straight? That's statistically impossible. It completely goes against the law of probability.

Some exceptional players can push past the games they are given meant to slow down their ascent, but the system is designed for the main bulk of players.

The system ABSOLUTELY forces wins, as well as loses. Keep a note of your own games (including when people went afk and when people started flaming etc), you will notice the games you win there's a lot less of that.

Look to cut to the chase here, it would in no way be good for this game, if the match maker truly put you with players of the same skill. You'd never have a massive win streak, you'd just peak. You would get bored, you wouldn't buy champs, skins, rune, pages etc. You'd go and play something else.

They know FULL well that when this game starts a losing streak, players will not stop playing until they get back to the point they were before in the league, that can easily be 10 plus matches it knows most players will play. Some rage quit for a few months, but they count on the addicts. The players watching the pro events, and players looking for when new champs drop.

The 50/50 is the moba/e sports business model, designed for fanatics aged between 14 to 25, that's their core target range. They hope players in that bracket won't notice the artificial ceiling and floor it gives you. They hope you all just keep playing, and keep paying.

People who play with their friends have a chance to do better in ranked etc, they try to encourage that, but they know for a fact there's a lot of people who play solo. So that's why the 50/50 is there.

Casino's have the same practice. They give you the illusion of winning, but by the time you are ready to leave, you've more than likely put all your winnings back into the casino and walk out with a loss.

You are displaying an extraordinary ignorance of randomness, skinner boxes, the concept of mmr systems, and actual statistical analysis of players' games.

..and you my friend are displaying classic apologist behaviour for riot.
