It feels like Rylies is mandatory on almost all mages

Idk, but with the rework of Cass and the release of Taliyah.... it feels like in order to reliably land your skills, you need rylies. The thing is, I love glass canon builds, but they just don't seem to work anymore.

All the pure high ap items have been nerfed and in order to get high ap you have to get those farm/wait type of items like and . I hate those items. I don't have the patients to stack them. Even the new rocketbelt and icethingy have low ap and health.

The other problem with mages who need rylies is that they also tend to want cdr/mana too. Getting rylies as the first items means sacrificing what they really want.

IDK, usually in any game, mages are squishy, in this game, mages get tons of health and low ap.

You just can't build glass canon anymore.

Well the only items that had high ap and got nerfed were defensive ones which never should have even had high ap values. I don't think rylais is mandatory, but it is just such a good item, and with others being nerfed it has slowly become one of the best ap items.

Riot doesn't want mage to perform as assassins, but rather as... mages! They are trying to distinguish these two classes by giving mages a more "control" feel, instead of kill preassure. I understand that in the beggining people will turn their faces away, but let's just give it some time and let the meta adjust
