A heal support isn't the ADC's bitch

Heal supports are nice, they help the team out; they look for and tend to the whole team... at least, that is how it should be...

ATM heal supports have only 1 mission; help the ADC... If you think about it, there is good reason why.

Janna the most popular support gives AD on her shield; literally only to help the ADC. item 3504 gives on hit effects and attack speed that is also 100% catered towards the ADC.

This is very frustrating because the support shouldn't be for just the ADC role although Janna Lulu Soraka ect. are better off mindlessly shoving heals and shields towards their adc instead of carefully choosing to whom they will protect.

How can this be fixed? This is what i recommend:

  • nerf AD given by Janna upon shielding but now, the shield gives some AP as well.
  • remove attack speed given by Lulu on W; instead, it will give the ally a burst of speed that decays rapidly into the movement speed it gives ATM.
  • rework item 3504 so the passive benefits the entire team equally

Those our my thoughts on shield/heal supports, what do you think?

When I play a heal support I focus on whoever is the most useful. If someone is garbage they don't get my heals in the middle of a fight.

And that's how THOSE ADCs happen. The ones who tickle the enemy while your top laner can 1v5 and your ADC still says "pRoTEct mUH enTitLeD AsS." Until the ADC does damage, if there's someone more valuable, peel for them. AKA I agree with you completely.

I've reached a point with this game where if my ADC is total garbage, I ditch them and roam. More often than not, when I do roam I can make plays happen mid/top that put us head. There is no point in 2 of us not getting any gold/exp ya know?

eh i think that heal support being more adc centric and the tank ones being more team centric is fine but thats just my opinion

enchanters and healers are best for marksmans, but if u duo lane with a buddy, a mage and a vanguard can be pretty feared

The only thing that will fix the older sustain supports is reworking them to include more skill expression in their kits. If Riot makes them more mechanically difficult to play, then they can add more power into their kits while diversifying them to fit different niches. No amount of number adjustments or minor gameplay changes will fix Janna, Nami, Soraka, Sona or Lulu. They're just too brainless and easy to play so it comes down to a stat check each time; if support items are weak, then sustain supports are too weak but if support items are strong (as they currently are now), then sustain supports are too strong. This is why Riot is working to remove stat check kits/items from the game to make League of Legends less numbers-based and more skill-based.

Enchanters are usually supposed to buff the adc/teammates. Leave specific supports alone and nerf items.

item 3504 is supposed to be an item that helps IN LANE thats why it works best with an adc. a ton of support items are balanced around the lategame item 3190 item 3107 item 3109
