Tanks Are Dead in this Game

You cannot play a tank anywhere and expect to make it to late game or even scale because of the overwhelming damage that has been forced into this game.

Riot how was this one sentence a removable one? Are you serious? Can you not be little cry babies?

Thats a link I made in the past about tanks and the meta in more detail.

So I read everyone's posts in the last deleted thread and just read this paragraph to summarize the truth. Also most tanks are teamwork reliant. If you do not have a team you might as well be shooting yourself in the foot. Do not use win rates because right now with the current meta if you are at 51% that is like the new average of 48 to 47% in the past, if you average out all of the S+ tier champs and roles and classes to everything else. That means tanks are doing horrible in this meta. It is a fact. If you lose to a tank now, it just means they had better teamwork and cooperation. You cannot solo win with tanks anymore or even in the past because ad and ap champs could abuse hp with defensive and offensive stats better than most tanks could. Tanks back in the tank meta were really just glorified passive dmg dealers with hard cc. That is really it. It had counter play.

By the way, does anyone have insurgency sandstorm? It is a pretty solid game.

Most tanks have around 50-51% win rate in solo queue

They are not played often because they are boring, picked by autofills to prevent other people from carrying on top

In jungle tanks are still good, they just can't solo carry 1v9 like they used to

They never could unless you talk about sej. She was hyper buffed by Riot. So your point is still invalid dude. I agree with you that tanks are good in the jungle but they are still outclassed by assassins ad and ap.

You're just upset you can't pick a tank and then stall out the game vs better players on top till you outperform them in teamfights anymore.

How does that make any sense? It should be a strategy to stall a game if you have superior late game. Are you actually suggesting that everyone should be rengars with one shot .5 second kit combos and games should only last 20-25 minutes? Now I see why this game sucks. There are potatoes giving Riot feedback.

Stalling a game and playing defensively is not a strategy.

There are no "good" defensive players.

There are bad players and good players. Bad players will play defensively in hopes of their team carrying them against the better player.

Pro player is not trying to 1v9, pro play and solo queue are completely different.

It's funny can't figure that out, but then again ... You are a tank player so ...

Go doran shield, ninja tabi and sit under tower falling 100 farm behind to better players and then hope your team will carry you

The only reason I'd lose to someone when he plays a tank is because his team outperformed mine, and he was able to play safe falling 100 cs behind and a couple towers while still remaining somewhat useful.

Again you are comparing pro play with solo queue, it's amazing how you guys can't work things around simplest things lol. I love coming on these forums. I wonder if you think anyone takes you seriously, including Riot

if tanks have 50% or lower win rates as a whole , and below average pick/ban% that means

its mainly otp playing a tank or someone who might be auto filled but if you go and look at the class as a whole its garbage completely.

if a champ played by his one tricks/mains are the only ones ( for the majority ) playing them and they can barely boost that champ win rate to 50% then the class/champ is bad and the meta is bad for them

Either tanks are worthless or are overpowered that bulldoze through everyone and everything. Everyone says both in equal measures out of both sides of their mouth at the exact same time. Figure out what your spin is and stick with it BEFORE you post something.
