I do so well in lan 9/10 times.Then i get shit like gp support and a yi that literally sits in the jungle not doing any sort of pressure whatsoever. Like you would think bronze would be worse but it never is.
archerno11 votesWhy would u think Bronze are worse? Bronze are more experienced players. Silver is ELO for new players. Bronze is more like "participation division". But skill difference between Bronze and Silver is almost non existant. You just need to carry hard.

As someone who's been bronze - platinum i disagree, at least to some extent. Silver is by far the hardest place to climb out of in the range of bronze-plat. Bronze seems to really be just, people who are truly awful at this game, and don't really care, if you're any good even a little bit, youll climb out of it in no time.
Silver seems to have more people who are actually ok at this game(by the standard of us plebs) and that's the issue...egos. At least in my experience the people in sliver are among the ragiest and quickest to call noob and hold a team hostage/purposefully throw a game if people don't bend to their wills.
Once you hit gold yeah people still have egos, but most people in any given match are more likely to be at least ok at the game, and less likely to set them off.
I've had fun in most game while playing in bronze, gold and plat...silver is almost always un-enjoyable.

being silver for 4 straight seasons i know this feeling all too well..
3 of those season i had to climb out of bronze (which was fairly easy)
and i have noticed that if i get placed with halfway decent teammates who dont feed,winning is stupid easy...
on my alt account (which is unranked) i frequently que with golds and plat and even some diamonds... and i honestly do BETTER against these higher elo players than i do vs the silver players on my main account ... because the higher elo opponents aren't FED OUT OF THEIR MIND by the rest of my team.
i don't play champs that can hard carry.. i never have. and the biggest problem is the lower elos is you just get people going completely mental... either feeding, raging.. or whatnot, in perfectly winnable games...
i know from experience... it a LOT harder to deal with a 10 kill silver than it is to deal with a 3 kill plat XD.
and that's the problem with silver elo..
in bronze they are so bad that if they DO get fed.. i can still beat them.
in gold and plat... the team are (for the most part) smart enough to not feed. i mean u still get them, but MUCH less frequently
but in silver.. you still get a very large amount of idiots who just mindlessly feed every game... and your opponents aren't THAT bad that u can easily carry vs that with non carry champs, not like u can in bronze
to really climb out of silver.. you need to be able to BEAT fed silver opponents when YOU are not fed..
and that takes either specific champs OR a skill well beyond silver and likely gold...
and the REASON why this is... is because riot STILL puts brand new unranked players who have zero game knowledge.. and sticks them in silver...

Some of the people in gold probably don't care too much about climbing either... since well... the rewards for climbing higher isn't really much outside of bragging rights if you care about those things that is... which might make it slightly easier to play with gold players...
Very Hard Engage1 votessilver was probably the easiest for me to climb out of, i had noticeable impact in lane and a giant gold lead every time just for farming well. i would back and have boots and he wouldn't basically.
if you're trapped in silver its because you're not grouping with your team enough and running it down mid together, if you have a gold lead (consistently) and just group up, you will instantly pub stomp all of silver.
looked at your average cs per minute. 4.3,..... 5.7..... those are not good numbers, you spend entirely too much time brawling and trying to snowball that you're completely disregarding your lane farm.

Randomonium1 votesI think it mainly has to do with the huge skill gap you see in silver. If you're a brand new account chances are you get thrown into low silver after your placement games. However, silver also has people who have played hundreds or even thousands of ranked games. This makes silver games feel more like dice rolls than any other elo. Are you going to get that fresh level 30 on your team who is playing ranked for the first time with tier 2 runes or is the enemy team going to get him?
Honestly, I think the default division for new players should be bronze 3 or 4 rather than silver 4 or 5. That would solve a lot of the randomness in silver.
Plus silver seems to be full of rage babies who could potentially be higher ranked except they throw temper tantrums whenever things don't go their way and will purposely lose their team the game.
