Why do i play vs gold 5s - plat 1s in normals but in ranked i can barely keep myself from droping to bronze 1 lol.. c'mon

Two possible reasons.

  1. The gold - plat players don't play normals a lot, hence their MMR is lower in normals than in Ranked.

  2. The gold - plat players try new champions, new builds in normals so they don't win often in normals and hence have a lower MMR.

I mean, when I queue in normals, since I was queuing up with my friend who isn't even level 30, I was facing bronze-silvers.

Yeah Normall and Ranked MMRs are such screwy things. I fight all kinds of people from Bronze to Diamond in Normals, and I've only been to Gold in Ranked.

Normals usually have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more games to base the MMR off of.

My normal Drafts are 460W/440L

My Ranked is 5W/11L

I think the Normal MMR is the most accurate one.

Also the boarders are their Rank last season, not this season. They could still be climbing the ladder.
