Role Selection needs to be removed

I will either get massive down votes or massive up votes, lets find out. Here me out please read with a open mind and give your thoughts after reading what I have to say.

Role selection is a failure as a system through all elos Bronze-challenger.

It was a good idea, but not statistically possible to pull off.

I have played league for about two years now, and here is what I felt.

THIS IS NOT A DYNAMIC QUE THREAD BTW THIS IS A ROLE SELECTION THREAD

I was more pleased with my role in season 4 and 5 than I have been in season 6.

The season that was dedicate to make role mains happy, has been a failure.

Why? Well a huge list

1-Que times are to long, even silvers wait 10 minutes for a single game 2-If you enjoy roles like mid or adc, the system half the time just places you in your secondary role 3-anyone who had Support as their secondary role was forced to quit playing support if they ever wanted to play their main role

Now let me say this, YOU HAD THE SAME CHANCE to get your main role, sometimes a even bigger chance to get your main role with the old system than you do with the current system

With the old system unless you were last pick, or mained mid, you had a HIGH chance of getting your main role.

Why?

For the majority of the time whoever got first pick, chose mid, and whoever was last pick got stuck with support. Which meant adc/jg/top was always open for the people in the middle to chose from. Also let me say this, adc, jg and top are also role for very specific people, so the majority of the time the jg main got his role, and than that left for the final two people to just go "yo which one do you want?"

In the old system people talked out which their best roles were, they would sort out who got what. And SOMETIMES the person with last pick wasn't always stuck with support, for I know a LOT of mid lane mains who mained Support as a secondary role.

However mid lane mains were forced to quit playing support, for if they didn't they would be forced to be a support main.

With the current system you deal with the following

-Super long que times -a 50 50 chance on if you got your role or not, sometimes it feels like 40 60 -The support population quitting -Oh yeah and diamond players don't even get to use it, they have auto fill

Keep the nice shiny graphics you gave us, but remove this system, it doesn't work, all it accomplished was god tier long que timers.

As a support main; I love the new system. I que in 5 seconds every game. They just need to increase the incentive to play support for others; as I find that's the main issue people are having (Only a few of us actually like it). As long as there's an active community of support players the que times would not be so drastic for others.

I used to play a healer in WoW; so I always find it weird jumping into video games and not being in a support role. They used to have Satchels for tanks/healers in times when que times were to high.

Why is there no poll? You need a poll to properly check this.

He doesn't need a poll, he was simply voicing his opinion on why he doesn't like Role Selection.

Edit: I preferred the old system, I liked be rewarded for playing more then two roles, and now I feel like I wasted hours upon hours attempting to learn other roles.

he said he wanted feedback based on upvotes/downvotes no? A poll would be more accurate for numbers' sake :/

He said he would get one or the other, not that he cared what other people thought.

Well I get my chosen role about 90% of the time and I always go Mid-Bot or the other way around. I think the system is really nice and the queue times aren't that bad. It's obviously not going to be as fast as blind pick but in my opinion, role selection hasn't been a failure.
