I have found myself losing interest in league for a weird reason

Most people lose interest in league for hating the current balance, or hating the community.

Im losing interest from its champions...

Its wierd i enjoy playing league and ill queue for 2 roles, then get into those roles and not know who to play because i just dont have fun on them. Most of them are either i dont like them in the first place, or just I have played them so much i got bored with playing the same champ.

For reference i am the guy whos background was Jhin after playing him for 2 games in 20.

Now I only have half of the champions (I play a few games a day usually) and have been playing since season 4 and have the cheaper half of the champions and like half of the 4800s and a few 6300s.

I have a couple friends who started at the same time and have all the champions, but the difference is they play WAY more than me.

So i only have half of the champions (around) so that means i own like 70, i dont find half of them actually fun so that means i only have like 35 (or maybe even less that i actually enjoy) then there is the fact I lose most of those the second i play ranked from just not being confident.

Having more champions (obviously) would increase my champion pool that I enjoy but they are so goddamn expensive now.

The main issue i have with IP is i understand why they use to be that expensive then the roster is HALF what it is right now. But with how many champs we need now it takes a LONG time to actually catch up.

I think basically we should just lower everyones cost by 1 stage (450 - free since they are starters anyway, 1350 - 450 etc) right now, and have future champs released normally. (we dont need to make a 450 free every new champ)

Also the last like 5 or so champs can stay 6300 and every new champ on release 7800.

That would just help starting players (and people like me who dont play 10 games a day) a ton.

(and it goes without saying about runes.)

Champions have been getting designed, and reworked, with zero depth. The kits have very defined play styles and builds, which completely kills any kind of interesting gameplay, even before you consider the power imbalance between the champions with fully tailored kits, and champions trying to maximize a subset of their kit (the old design style).

This is honestly the most harming part of the game at this point. Ignoring balance, ignoring the community, before the degree which you could push champions kept the game interesting and fun. Now riot has supported a design which cares about improving performance of repetitive gameplay, over invitation and creativity. Obviously you will have more of this the newer a game is, but this is exactly what blizzard did to world of warcraft. It killed player identity of playstyle, in preference of gameplay which was able to be balanced, but far less interesting.

It use to be that with maybe 40 champions, you could play almost 100 different reasonably viable styles, between things like AP burst alistar, AD malz, Crit Garen, AP, AD, tank poppy, exc... now with 40 champions, you'll be hard pressed to find 50 ways to play which are even remotely viable against the champions with a tailored single play style.

very well said... maybe that is why i cling to the older odd ball champs and like them alot... the have character and that is what made them fun to play...
