Can Kassadin get toned down?

He's easily top 3 mid laners right now and has been for quite a few patches. He needs some nerfs and if you disagree you should probably look at the stats. If you still disagree, you're most likely some delusional Kass main

Well yeah, he got buffed and now doing well. He's certainly not top 3 though, he just counters mages hard, which is what mid lane currently is.

Kassadin has only recently, however, been allowed to exist. In fact, he existed in a state of perpetual uselessness after a few months of his rework way in season 4. Now, for just a short time, he's popped up and people want him nerfed into the ground because he's doing well.

No one complains about Ahri who has been the mid-lane star child for many seasons now, essentially the Lee Sin of mid lane.

According to Champion.gg, Kassadin is number 4 behind Ahri, Orianna, Karthus. Ahri and Orianna are easily better than him in more situations, although Karthus is questionable (He's a high ELO niche pick, does well when he's picked for whatever reason).

According to lolking and op.gg, Kassadin is actually sitting at a sub-50 win rate. Only champion.gg (Sometimes known to be very flawed) puts him at rank 4, with 51%. Op.gg (The main reference) and lolking both have him lower.

He's just hyper mobile, late game carry. Any champion with hyper mobility has always received criticism. He also entered the meta right after lethality was nerfed and when LB was changed when lots of immobile, heavy hitting mages entered mid lane. He counters those well.

If you want to complain about a champion, complain about Ahri. All 3 websites have her a good deal over 50% win rate. She's consistently performed since forever.

Let's not hate on a champion who's only good because he counters the very class that is performing VERY strongly right now (Xerath, Ziggs, Orianna, etc).

I'm a Kassadin main and I think he needs a minor nerf. Not a large one though, because his winrate is likely just a result of the fact that he counters many of the META mid laners.
