Either nerf ADCs or nerf supports

Botlane still wield too much power.

Whenever I play (enchanter)supports I feel like the king of the world. I have more impact than mid and top lane combined.

Lately I've been wondering if Twitch, Kog'maw and Jinx needed heavy nerfs. Then I realized.. their damage isn't exactly the problem. It's the permanent shields and hastes and boosts. They don't even have think, they can mindlessly spam with infinite mana regen and non existent CDs

The game could really use actual balance on the ADC class, they've historically always been an issue. Don't look at the support class when botlane's too strong, they're still the 'shit' class that needs to sacrifice for someone else. It's a lot less bad than it's been, but it's still there. Look at the class upon which the entire game revolves instead, those who go completely out of control as soon as they become anything viable outside of botlane.

The game would be far better off if the ADC's power budget was cut by a fourth and that power was directly given to supports.

They are not the shit class anymore. We've come so far from support simply being "ward bitches" supports have some of the biggest impact in the game. No other class has an AoE shield and Heal. Stop acting like supports are poor weakling, supports have been dominating top winrates for a long time now, like leona/ali before aftershock nerf, or sona/janna/lulu in ardent censor meta. ADC itemization is their problem but it's not the only reason they have no weaknesses when lulu can just remove assassins and shield the marksman permenantly.

The only reason Supports are able to have constant relevancy is because games end/are decided before most players have a chance to truly scale and their base values are still relevant at the 15 minutes mark. They're intended to be fairly strong early, but they still hit full build at the same time as everyone else on a horridly smaller budget, and that is something i hate.

I don't want them to become ridiculously overpowered early and mid, i want them to have a similar individual power curve as the rest of the team. I want a lot of their power shifted from item actives back into their kits so that supports feel less identical to each other. That means probable removal of the Locket and Redemption items among other things, and addition/change of champions who would be designed for that task instead. That means items with higher costs and higher stats. It may mean a support-specific stat on some items to prevent abuse from outside classes.

They do have too strong shields, and too strong single-target peels currently, and one of their worst design flaws as a class is that they're meant to babysit one class, and it warps the entire game. Where are the supports designed to help melees, tanks and AP casters, or even assassins? They don't exist. They can, to an extent certainly, but they're designed to aid the ADC class.

It's a lot better than it was, but it can still be a lot better.

Why and how would you ever do that. Support/ADC power budget aren't supposed to be shared. You aren't going to change ADCs role in the game; to you, the non ADC player, they will still seem just as strong, but their players will have even less of an impact on the game.

I am, at the core, a socialist-communist. That means i like it better when everyone gets an equal share of the power. So long as Supports are expected to buy items that cost anywhere between 600 to 1000 less gold compared to ADCs item choices, i won't be truly happy. So long as they get less gold income, i won't be satisfied.

And because we can't just give that power to them and it has to come from somewhere else, the best pick for that power loss is the ADC class, who's expected to buy items more costly than everyone else (though mages and bruisers do come close), and also earn more gold than everyone else.

You cannot claim that ADCs have little impact on the game when the game, most often, is quite literally about making them survive fights and dives to deal damage that outmatches any other classes' output. Toplane feels irrelevant, jungle's current major goal is to get the ADC going as much as possible, and support, though much better than it was, is still very much bound to the ADC class like a dog on a leash. Only midlane offers decent relevance throughout the entire game in comparison.

Where are the supports designed to help melees, tanks and AP casters, or even assassins? No, they're all essentially tailored and designed with the intent of helping ADCs and screwing with assassins, and that's a major flaw to their role that hurts their potential as a class.

Nah. it's the adc damage atm. Jinx is able to more or less survive forever, have the highest move speed in the game, and mete out the most damage, on an almost purely auto attack basis. Don't watch what adcs do in lane. Watch what they do once they begin to roam. Jinx will poke the crap out of the entire opposing team until a play can be made, and there's not much they can do about it except try to flank/ambush, which doesn't go very well if she has a team.

She's basically the best pure auto attacker in the game, and they put her on steroids (Vayne's primary damage is all in Tumble, which is why she didn't get affected too much by the nerfs). As long as Jinx has high attack speed and Orb, 90% of champs can't zone her post lane. if they get within 700-820 range a countdown begins toward their death. And then Jinx gets 275% Movement speed, and then everyone else dies too. She doesn't even gain much from speed boosts from supports except very early game.

Jinx is like Draven. In lane, if you give her 1-2 kills, she'll take a mile. That's enough to set her purchase curve into a winning damage kit. She could be the crappiest adc player in the world, and she will still go 16/0 if you give her those first 2 kills (I Know; I've done it, and I suck at adc).

And..... Most supports do not have infinite Mana spam. Although they have ways to recover it, they often bottom out, and some quicker than others. If Sona is spamming skills to proc item 3303 it takes about 8 skills to put her in low Mana jeopardy and then she basically has to sit back and wait. Same with Nami. They do consume.

However, they thrive on builds like this: item 3174 item 3504 item 3003 That's a mana battery (and might be becoming even stronger soon with an upcoming Manaflow Band rework). But it takes awhile to get to this build, and most supports don't build it. If the supports go item 3107 item 3504 item 3190 I guarantee you can punish that, because that build doesn't speed up adcs much, doesn't actually transfer a lot to the Support's Damage/Heals (They think they do but AP beats them every time) and keeps the support slow as well, meaning you can take them out.
