Ranked feels so out of my control.

Like I went from plat 3 to gold 4.. Sure do I do bad and don't deserve to win occasionally? Yeah, it happens. But it doesn't matter how well I do. It doesn't matter how much impact I have. I get fucking screwed because of inters. Use my last game as example. I crushed my laner. I often would kill their jungler.I went bot on 4 different accounts to snowball them and jhin still ended lane as 1/6... I did most damage in game. I went top and helped take tower early and killed shen. Like I was the main influence on my team and it didn't even fucking matter.. And yeah I can just stop playing ranked but I want to be back in plat like that's where my skill level is. Not that I would ever get boosted but jesus I considered it lmfao shit is so cancerous and too cointoss.

Agency this season is the absolute worse. You win or lose based on which lane feeds the hardest.

I was 0/0/2 last game and the rest of my team was a combined like 4/26.

Wtf am I even supposed to do? And this is so common too.

Yeah, Agency and carry potential is at all an time low this season.

I can sum up Ranked in one sentence...

One person can't win you the game but one person can lose your team the game.

Damage is disgusting this season.

  • Runes add way too much front loaded damage as well as items like Duskblade and Stormrazor.
  • Defenses are at an all time low. Removing the old rune system was a big mistake.

There's too much True Damage in the game.

  • Conqueror should never have been introduced in it's current state.
  • Infinity Edge should never have been changed, All they had to do was nerf the crit damage amplifier from 50% to say 30%.

Remember when True Damage was a niche thing specific champions had? (Vayne Fiora Chogath Darius etc?)

Now everyone has access to True Damage...

When they removed old runes it exacerbated everyone's ability to build safely. Made the game more of a fiesta than its ever been.

I really h8 what riot has done this season. Its the worst.

I have a 34% win rate in Bronze 1 as an ADC, but if you look at my actual in game stats, my KDA and CS are always relatively good. Particularly for bot lane, carrying games is overly difficult. You just get smashed if even one lane gets rolled.

Playing ADC or sup in low elos is incredibly hard to climb with solo. Your best bet is to find someone decent to duo with and get in voice chat with them. Makes it much easier.

When your Tristana goes 5/0/0 on bot lane in six minutes and then gets 100-0ed by Talon, who got fed off of the 0/10 Lee Sin mid, literally faster then you can press R as Soraka - you know it's over. No amount of skill is going to win this. Not even a duo. [sg-soraka]

No. For support yes but for adc depends on how the duo looks like and how good the duo is(or how optimal their champions are).

I'm a support main but I'm forced to play ADC to feel any semblance of agency lol. Thanks for the advice though

Lol?

Supports have a LOT more agency than an ADC does... for the first 30-35 minutes of every game.

how do you cs? whats your macro? u for the most part feed (die 5 or more times per game). Every game is winnable (even those 4-21 games) as long as your team listens to u it should go well. If u also played Yasuo or Kai'sa in bot u can carry Solo Q up to atleast silver. Currently my mmr is sitting higher then usual and from the new thing Riot added to the client (stats) considers me better then a diamond player. I have trouble carrying but i do everything i can with split pushing and team fight engaging and knowing when to ward, run or sneak attack

Hey bud, I had the same problem as you and made a few posts on it. I was Diamond 1 last season and this season the highest i made it to was Diamond 4. I still struggle in bronze, silver, gold, and plat when i play on smurf accounts. Games feel so one sided and like coin flip games. You can go 10/3 in top lane while your support is 0/12, adc is 0/9, mid 3/8, jungler 1/6. Then youre forced to carry the game and win.

For the most part, the best way I found to win these games is to keep afk farming. Get 10+ cs/m every game and youll see yourself climbing faster. This is because everyone is so kill hungry, they will want to group as soon as possible. This makes them lose out on overall cs because all 5 enemies are in mid lane, the lose out on Minion exp and jungle camps. Take advantage of this by farming side lanes, pushing them to their towers, then take scuttle crab as soon as possible, then jungle camps.

Doing this will get you 2+ lvls above everyone else in the game. This is where youll be able to just 1v3 and be able to solo carry, you out damage smite so you can steal baron, try it and let me know how youre doing.

If getting 10+ cs/m is hard for you, go to practice tool and practice there. Once in practice tool, buy the normal starting item and just practice last hitting minions for 5 minutes. Once the 5 minutes is up, reset the practice, then repeat. Once you get about 40+ cs at 5 minutes, add a bot to the game and practice there. Once you get 40+ cs at 5 minutes with the bot, add a bot again but this time poke the bot while also getting cs, dont use abilities on cs either, you want to use that on the enemy champion in lane. Only use it to secure a Cannon minion or if youre about to miss 2+ cs.

Any tip for playing adc? I mean when your support its a pyke who does nothing and you cant farm vs 2 range comp, and no one pushes the lane after turret getting destroyed so you aren't able to farm... Im actually playing only support and i got 7-2 on nami because of that (adc feels so team dependant and im better at vision control and vision theory than average support), should i continue playing nami or support in general?

Sadly I know very little about ADC because the only time I did play ADC was as Jayce or Draven. I quit playing that lane because most the time I'd have a support sitting in brush while i tank damage and harass/farm. So I quit playing that lane. All I can say tho is make sure youre not overextending, and also maximize on farm. Practicing to farm under tower has always been a big thing for ADCs, because if enemy laners are under your tower a majority of them time, you're more likely going to get ganked by your jungler. But the opposite also can happen where you get poked under tower for farming and tower dived by 3+ enemies. So that's all I can really say for ADC, is just farm safe, poke smart (when enemy goes to kill a minion, damage him), wait for ganks, prioritize drake, and try to get 9+ cs/m. Also as an ADC, whenever im dominating lane, I will push the wave to the tower then gank mid lane, take scuttle, or invade enemy jungle. Some of the best picks for ADC is Draven, Cait, and Ezreal because of their long range which makes them safe to farm (Cait/Ez), and Draven doing tons of damage can poke enemy champions out of lane and farm super easily.

Like people say, a Diamond Trist ADC with a Bronze Soraka Support will beat Bronze Trist ADC with a Diamond Soraka Support. So I wouldn't recommend playing support, that role is carryable in diamond+ elo when your adcs all know what theyre doing. Nami is a good support tho if you're still wanting to play her.

It feels like to me;

If I play jungle, my bot lane usually feeds.

If I play bot lane, my jungler is incompetent.

Tokogawaruf1 votes

That is so much me, i play almost only ADC/Supp/Jung, and its exacly like that every Game.

And in the one in a Thousand Games when all 2 of the Randoms arent incompetent, you press Tab and see your Toplaner is 0/9.

I know im ranting, but it honestly feels like this often enough to make one pissed

I have the same issue, I ligit dropped from d5 promos to plat 3 and then back to plat 1 to drop all the way back to plat 3. My mmr is high yet here I am winning 18-20 and losing 18-20 when my mmr is average or above. like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

pseudo dionysius3 votes

I have lost my d5 promos 6 times and have dropped to plat 3. It is actually so mental.

Heos001 votes

i was d5 with diamond 3 mmr. Got demoted to plat 5, before being diamond at plat 1 elo, i got teammates who knew how to draft, how to do a good team comp and everything you want after diamond 5 i just got people who just played for the kills and extremely inconsistent like every game. Just made to almost solo carry (i say almost because its impossible to solo carry by your own) 2 games, at the same level that i played every other game... lol.

Yah solo queue is at an all time low id say. Even LCS players are dropping out of masters or just not playing solo queue because its a mess.

Agree. I don't know what's going on in the dev room but there needs to be a change.

It feels less like a game and more like an un-accomplishable task. Last season I started in Bronze 3 and ended in Plat. This season started in S after winning 2/10 placements and have been struggling to get back to Plat with the highest I've gotten now being G2. I'm not sweating too bad because I got my victorious skin already but … I still want my plat border. I'm probably just going to quit ranked and try to have fun in norms. Last season there was growth, I met a lot of nice people that I still play with today, there was more individuality in creating runes pages, actual viable team comps, Less flame imo, and the ability to actually change the game based on your play instead of "Zed got a double off Mid and JG. Might as well FF at 15".

Tired of getting 1 shot by Nocturne/Akali. Tired of 4 man dives bot. I hate the shutdown gold ratio, the runes suck, everyone's toxic. I especially hate that the games are pretty much over at 10 minutes. Whole game can depend on 1 lane and how well they play that game. I always give people th benefit of the doubt, even after all of the countless troll picks I've had recently (Janna top, Darius sup, Raka mid, Akali Sup). I really miss when games would last 50 minutes because it added to much more tension and invited people to think more critically. I don't know who the hell was saying they want shorter games, but whoever it is beat them up. Shorter games make for riskier plays that often don't pay off which leads to snowball. I also miss NOT being one shot every damn game. No one wants to build viable team comps anymore and I hate the fact that Kalista is pretty much nonexistent this meta, as she'd been one of my favorite ADCS next to Sivir.

Really hoping next season riot just reverts back to old runes or something similar. Every game feels the exact same, same runes same build same spell order. Every game a lee sin, an akali, a zed, a pyke, a MF. It's just annoying and exhausting and playing this game feels more like an emotional burden than a game. When even the pro players aren't playing the game they literally made their careers off of anymore, you know it's a problem.

Go to op.gg when you join a lobby, and copy and post everything from who joined into op.gg. Typically if a team is weak, you'll figure it out there and can dodge. The lack of active players fk's up matchmaking more so than usual plus the volatility of games in a snowball meta make this step much more important than in better seasons. But it could also be once you started losing you kept playing on tilt, that happens to.

Some people don't know the difference between bravado and feeding. Others can't tell the difference between foolishness and leadership. Sometimes these traits happen at the same time from the same players. Which can make it difficult to categorize players. Instead of focusing on the weaknesses of your allies, maybe you should try to reinforce their good qualities through what you can do as a champion or what you can do in the chat as a player. One thing to keep in mind is that as humans we have unlimited potential, so the chat is a great tool for improving the game play of your allies. Just make sure you're always diplomatic. If you don't know how you can help them then you should try to be the one learning. Whether you win or lose, if there was something you didn't fully understand, you can always download and watch the replay to help figure it out.

I had a game where our Jhin had the map awareness of a rock but he still did his job even though he usually had bad decision making and even tried giving us bad orders time and time again. He even commented that he was tempted to go AFK because he was doing so poorly. He was heavy, but I did not ignore the fact that the opponents had some really bad players too and just kept giving it what I could and we won.

For me it's a mid-game/late-game teamfight, whoever's ageny is quicker and more efficient wins the rest of the match.

Just a bronze game, but last night had a Jax jg go 0/9 with less then 100 farm buy the end of that 37 minute game.

At about 25 minutes in, he stated "STFU IM SILL LEARNING JAX!!!" And he was STILL trying to blame other people on our team...

Best part? He was duo with the support, who acctualy BLOCKED him at games end. Saying ot wasn't the first time they had been invited to his trolling.

Looking on the bright side though. I may have lost that game through no fault of my own; but that Jax has to be himself for the rest of his life. :P

Riot said "if matchmaking is working, you should win about 50% of your games" which is self explanatory. I'd say if you do well and play like a diamond in ur gold game u can win one and then the next game play like a bronze and lose. It just depends how consistent you are, and the more consistent you are in being good at least the higher MMR you will have and you will lose less lp and win more + perhaps win more games because you would be contributing to your team.

GodlyBane1 votes

your mmr would have protected u from falling if u were playing, csing, warding, and split pushing like a plat. for example, i play like a diamond (according to stats comparing to other yas players) hell even better then one, and my mmr goes up when i play NORMALS if u were playing like a plat u would not have fallen from plat if u lost 50 times or 0 times if u had plat 3 mmr u woulda stayed plat 3

Succubús GF2 votes

Wrong. First off. Norms mmr and ranked mmr are different. Riot doesn't have a singular individual based datapoint for mmr. You lose, your mmr tanks. You win, your mmr gets better. Regardless of If you go 0/200 or 20/0 every game

Those comparisons look at very little. You also cant compare diamond games vs silver normal games. The difference is far too high.

i play like a diamond (according to stats comparing to other yas players) hell even better then one, and my mmr goes up when i play NORMALS

Im talking about my csing, split pushing and vision control (i still have flaws such as not buying as many control wards as i need to) but srsly man, just keep ur mmr normal and u will deserve to be plat 3, if not then u shouldnt be in plat 3 if u arent getting ur required plat csing, warding, kp, tower participation, etc.

Succubús GF2 votes

This is the most tilting shit ever. I have gf in my name and its still not enough because apparently girls just don't play league we just sit in kitchens all day

but srsly man

Pros legit have stopped playing soloq for the reason I just explained but ok w.e go off I guess

, just keep ur mmr normal and u will deserve to be plat 3,

I started the season silver 4 and just make it to plat last night. If you have the skill you will climb all I can say is play out every game learn from your mistakes and play every game with the intent of being the reason your team won.
