MF's nerf is far from uncalled for. She's getting nerfed because she got slightly overbuffed... and this is such a minor part of her damage that it probably won't have much impact aside from taking some value away from Thunderlord's on her. I don't see the problem here.

Exactly the problem. If this doesn't "fix" anything, riot will not revert it , and just overnerf her elsewhere.

But it's taking away from her ability to abuse Thunderlord's, which is almost certainly an unintended option for her. It's very targeted, and it will likely stop a lot of people from seeing that as a viable option when compared to the Ferocity masteries. People that are playing MF as a normal ADC will see very little change.

In short, it is fixing something, and it's not hurting her intended playstyle in any relevant way. This is pretty much the poster child for a best-case scenario nerf.

Funny thing is that if Fervor stacked on her ult or on her E ticks, she'd had no reason for taking thunderlord and her damage, while high at max stacks, would remain balanced because of the stacking mechanic (which she used to have...)

It would, but I think the damage from Fervor would be absolutely unmanageable on her if they did stack. They would have to nerf the base damage on those skills to oblivion in order to make the damage from those viable, which would in turn take away her ability to use Warlord's Bloodlust. I think she's better off in her current state.

yeah you're right, specially with fervor buff on the PBE where 10 stacks means 100 AD, it'd end up on fervor nerfed or as you said, MF nerfed :S such is the world of balance.

^ Yup. I don't envy the Riot squad that balances the game; There are so many factors to deal with and people immediately get up in arms any time they hear whispers of their favorite champions' names. People get so used to having an unfair advantage that once they lose it they fail to adapt.

Right now pretty much every damage dealing champ likes it, but once it gets nerfed out of OP status I doubt any adc will continue to pick Thunderlord's.

.When at level 4, with only a dorans blade, i can q a mage minion and take half of kog's health bar...she kinda busted lol...i main her and i agree that she needs a nerf!
