"A high skill cap champion shouldnt have 45% or higher winrate"

I saw this in a vayne post recently (dont get me wrong i actually hate vayne unlike most champions i defend) but i saw a post on how high skill cap champions shouldnt have a 45-50% winrate. I disagree.

I think what the league community thinks high skill cap is, is that you need 75 or more games to break 50% winrate. While high skill cap champions should be hard to play they still should have a balanced winrate. What that means is that MOST people that have few games on that champion still lose, and MOST people who are good at that champion still win.

A lone winrate doesnt determine the amount of people who have high number of games on them. So i ask you stop basing nerfs on "well they have negative winrate but they are high skill." They way you balance these champions is making them take more skill. But not to a point where learning them is so much a challenge that its not even worth it

HOWEVER: I couldnt find updated Data on 6.24 for vayne so i cannot say wether or not she is still a problem. But as for the people upset she still has a 2 item powerspike. Its called a powerspike, so until I either fight a vayne (which i havent yet this patch) and judge if shes still a problemm (if i feed her to make her strong that doesnt means shes broken) or i find my statistics (champion.gg is updating in 3 days) i will not comment on her balance situation

It's conditional. A high skill cap champion with a high pickrate shouldn't have a winrate above 45%. If that's the case, it's because something is busted about their kit that makes facerolling with it possible.

I also think being able to faceroll a high skill cap champion shouldnt be the case, but if they are sitting on a 50% winrate. How come the suggested changes to the champions arent "Lets make them more difficult (within reason because again you still need incentive to want to play that champion)" And are insted "Lul champ op nerf them"

The general win rate of a champion is often what's used to determine if they're overpowered or not. Typically, 55+ is considered overpowered, but more difficult champions will typically have lower general win rates. Ryze is a good example. Redmercy pointed out in a video a little while ago that, in the patch that video was made on (6.20 I think), Ryze had the lowest general win rate of any champion in mid lane at around 41%. However, his win rate with in the, I think it was 50+ games played bracket spiked up to around 60%, making it significantly higher than any other champion in the game at the time's general win rate. Higher skill cap champions need to be balanced more around the best players on that champion. Otherwise, the ones who are average on them can do average and the ones that are amazing on them are busted. You just feel so helpless when you go against a mastery 7 main of most high skill cap champions who is actually playing well that game.

As for why Vayne got nerfed this patch, basic attacks before dealt 170% of her AD after using her Q (now they deal 150%) (both at max rank). This could crit, including the bonus damage. If they crit, it was then 340% of her AD without IE and 425% with IE. This meant that she had some pretty insane burst on a champion who is designed to deal high sustained damage over a long period of time. Combine this with a crit from Statikk Shiv (50-120 bonus magic damage multiplied by the crit multiplier), and she was hitting like an absolute truck with her Q autos and was legitimately 1-shotting people, combined with the fact that you can't see her in stealth at all and have to rely on hitting skillshots on her or locking her down for a long period of time to stop her. Even now, a Q crit is 300% with no IE and 375% with, that's still significantly better than a 425% AD ratio on her Q buffed auto. Honestly, I think that Riot should make it a base value with a very minuscule AD ratio so that she's not given so much power for building AD and crit.

I agree that high pickrate and high winrate should be the case on high skill cap champions, but when A LOT of people on the boards are determining this. THEY DO NOT EVER LOOK AT # OF GAMES FOR POSITIVE WINRATE. Ever
