Why adc is a frustrating role.

My friend is trying to start maining ADC climbing to try to get out of silver so we can duo. His frustration is really showing, and it makes sense on why its hard to find adcs on team builder (ignoring the fact that bot lane is usually duo people).

No one knows that protecting the adc is one of the most important things to do mid to late game. No one will peel for him in teamfights, the only person who ever even tries is the support. It's not just the supports job to peel. They are called adc (attack damage carries) for a reason because they are meant to farm up and dish out the damage mid to late game. The team should be working together to peel for the adc. I just feel bad that such an important role that has a negative vibe to it due to the grumpy "vayne main" stereotype.

Skill matches the elo. If you are better skill all these marksmen have enough self peel to be able to carry the game without the constant need of others like Vayne or Jinx

Ezreal is very good at self peel too but when you're trying to self carry auto attacking marksmen work best.

I never actually considered that ADC mains are toxic because the role is frustrating until I started playing it more often. Before I always just thought toxic people gravitated towards the role.

You should try duoing mid/top/jungle. My brother and I duo that way and you can have a bigger impact typically and it's way less stressful.

In Silver, people will not peel for you, it's just not going to happen. Don't bother asking, you'll get flamed, don't bother mentioning the 4-5 people trying to dive you bot while top/mid are freezing, they did their job by pinging MIA so they don't have to do anything else, don't get behind in CS, your team is watching and they will let you know you're behind.

Don't get too comfy playing your adc, if they're strong even briefly, they're going to get nerfed almost immediately. The adc role is genuinely unfun to play at the moment and until itemization changes, it's probably going to remain that way.
