Why exactly doesn't vladimir have rework priority?

Manaless? Check Free stats always-up offense to defense passive? Check Breaks spellvamp itemization just by existing? Check Targetted, low cooldown nuke? Check

The list continues. The champion has been stated by multiple rioters to be one of the worst designed champions ever created. On top of having no counterplay, being manaless, and breaking spellvamp itemization, the champion has no decision making whatsoever. Q off cooldown? Q something. E timer about to expire? Press E.

Jax lost his free stats passive in 2012. Kayle lost her double dip passive in 2011.

Why was Ryze given rework priority over Vladimir exactly? Ryze isn't a saint either, but Vlad is much worse.

Well a few thing I can think of is.... 1.No hard CC(is a root a hard cc?) 2. Ignite and Morenllonmicom make him cry. 3. Laning phase is not very good at all.

Because ryze was "Is enemy in range? press Q and then everythhing else until enemy dies in two rotations, which by the way happens in less than 4 seconds" Vladir at least takes a little while to kill people. He's sustained dmg which doesn't completely lack counterplay

Lol? How is vlad any different? Is enemy in range? Press Q and E off cooldown. Both have no counterplay damage, difference is Ryze has mana costs

Look They had some ideas for Ryze that panned out, so he comes first, by this logic no one should have gotten any attention until Sion's rework was done and then the next guy likely Poppy, then maybe Fiddle then Taric, Vlad isn't an amazing champion, so he will get worked on, but he also isn't an insane game breaker,

Exactly, It's not like he's a manaless Malzahar

Manaless isn't exactly an advantage when you spend your HP to cast things. Like, there's a significant downside to that. Killing yourself to cast things over using an alt resource that doesn't kill yourself? Not ideal.

Also - everything you listed there would still be something Vlad does post-rework.

Riot doesn't delete a champion and replace them with an entirely different character with a rework. They try to make the champion feel like the same champion, just with a funner and more balanced kit. I mean - Karma was probably the most radical shift, but 3 of her 4 active abilities essentially stayed the same, and her aggressive mage/support archetype still stayed in tact.

Vladimir is a health-cost champion. He is one of the rare champions that uses a joint defense/range pairing to survive long enough to do his job (rather than using defense(fighter/tank), defense+mobility(fighter/assassin), mobility(assassin), mobility+range(marksman), or range(mage)) He is heavily reliant on spell vamp what with being a spell-casting vampire. And Vlad being manaless and reliant on sustain form damage dealt sets him up for playing in a sudo auto-attack fashion where he deals sustained damage.

Riot's reworks can't really do much in changing who a champion is, just tweak how there abilities really happen. And with Vlad getting reworked? All your issues with him would likely still remain through a rework.

I agree with you on everything.

Except:

Karma was probably the most radical shift, but 3 of her 4 active abilities essentially stayed the same, and her aggressive mage/support archetype still stayed in tact.

Literally no. Its like saying Lee Sin and Urgot have the same kits because both have a Q skillshot, a shield and a slow.

True Karma was a low-range high suvivability champion who shined against melee champions, and had countless ways to play a lane. Her playstyle was based around bombshielding and a defensive-agressive counterattacks. She had the game's best shield on 6s of cd.

Scarma is a squishy one trick pony whose Mantra Q is overloaded and her kit is made to hit Mantra Q. E is the worst shield in the game, the haste is mediocre and the shield itself is pitiful. W is delayed and situational. And Mantra E is an insult to what was once Shieldbombing.

You can compare their kits and vertatility, and Coronach Karma comes up superior every time. Her numbers are better, her skills flow better, they all had a purpouse for every situation, both offensive and defensive.
