It's not that magical; I see high ranks all the time who can't do shit. Someone could easily, very easily feasibly hit diamond on a low-ban champ and maybe, maybe one or two other picks. I mean, that may not have happened here-- but two people in the exact same division can be separated by many things. Time, effort, luck...
