Yasuo vs Tryndamere

So, I'm sure we can all come to the agreement that the boards hate Yasuo. There is, at least, on thread of him made per day. Today, however, I want to try and change that, and make the boards realize that there is a far worse contender out there that has been a significant problem for far, far, FAR longer than Yasuo.

Tryndamere.

How about we take the complaints against Yasuo, and compare them to Tryndamere, shall we?

#Yasuo can get 100% Crit chance with 2 items.

This is true. But guess what? Tryndamere can have 35% crit chance at level 1 without runes, masteries, or items. And he doesn't even have to level an ability for it! Its his fricken passive, which all he has to do is auto attack to build it up! Which seems more problematic to you?

#Yasuo has too much sustain/is too durable in the mid/late game.

How about a free heal that heals you for a quarter of your health while in lane? How about being able to NOT. DIE. PERIOD. while tanking every source of damage from the enemy team? How about being able to heal a quarter to a third of your health with single a auto attack with a single lifesteal item? Again, what sounds more problematic to you?

#Yasuo is too mobile.

Yasuo needs enemy units to use that mobility, like minions, AND he has to use it wisely, since he can only dash through an enemy once every 6 seconds or so. Trynd doesn't have that limitation. He has a long range dash on a decently short cooldown, and it also does a decent amount of damage! Also, best way to beat Trynd is to either lock him down with CC, or kite him......but if you try to kite him, he has a strong slow that either forces you to take it, or take a step towards him to avoid it, AND IT ALSO REDUCES YOUR AD! And to top it off, the only way to know it's coming is a weird ass animation, and a dumb chicken noise.

#Yasuo takes no skill to play.

Hahahahahaha! I'm sorry, I thought you said Yasuo doesn't take skill to play for a second there. Oh....you did? Well, first off, you've never played Yasuo. Secondly, look at Tryndamere, the right click king! All you have to do with him is auto attack, and use your simple, brainless abilities to get you out of tough situations, which, evidently, isn't alot. Need to escape? Just E in whatever direction, or over a wall. It has enough range, and moves fast enough that it'll be difficult for your opponents to keep up with you. Locked down by CC? Just ult, survive whatever damage they have, then E out, and get a free heal from your Q when you're out!

Yasuo is everything that Tryndamere should be. He is far healthier for the game than Trynd has ever been. Can Yasuo feel absurd at times? Yes, he can, I won't deny that, but there has never been a time when Tryndamere has not been absurd.

Tryndamere is one of the worst cases of "feast or famine" this game has ever seen. If he gets ahead of you in lane, he proceeds to rip the entire enemy team apart, and win the game completely on his own. If you happen to shut him down in lane, he does absolutely nothing but split push all game, forcing you to constantly babysit him all game, of which he could eventually outscale you, and rip you apart on his own with no help from his team.

I would love to give some suggestions on how to fix him besides just ranting about him, but, he simply needs a complete reimagining, for he doesn't even fit his overall theme either. He should be one of the highest priority champs on Riot's VGU list, but since he just now got a skin, I fear that he is actually lower on that list than we originally thought.

So, please, Riot, push him higher up that list. I know you just made a skin for him, but he desperately needs a VGU. I can understand that you have someone lined up for a VGU after Urgot and Evelynn, but can he at least come after who have set up for after those 2? Otherwise, he'll remain in this god awful state he has been in for years.

TL;DR Tryndamere needs a VGU, and badly. Riot really needs to push him up higher on their priority list despite having just made a skin for him.

Sry, but Tryndamere is way more manageable than Yasuo. Tryndamere gets crit from his passive, true, but at least he doesnt have a second, equally strong passive on top of it. Tryndamere doesnt have a big AoE hard CC nor an Ultimate on literally no CD that allows him to ignore half your armor.

and most imporant: TRYNDAMERE DOESNT HAVE A FREAKING WIND WALL THAT HAS NO REASON TO EXIST!

Reliable crit is always more powerful than bowing to RNG. What's more, Trynd has to be fighting to build up his Crit, which you can prevent him from doing. You cannot prevent a Yas from starting with crit runes or from bying a zeal on his first back.

The instant Trynd presses the button for his heal, he loses all his crit... which you already said above was strong. So it sounds like he has two advantages he has to choose between (the heal isn't even that great unless you're AP Trynd anyway)

As for his ult... I will deal with a thousand Trynd ults before I play against fucking wind wall. Trynd can only ult once a minute or so. Wind Wall can cockblock my spells and ruin my day every 20 seconds, and it doesn't just save Yasuo. It can protect his team. Oh... and unlike Trynd's ult which merely prevents you from hitting 0 health, it prevents all damage. Fightint Trynd during his ult is dumb, but at least when it ends he'll die in one hit. Shooting auto attacks into wind wall is stupid too... and when it wears off, Yasuo is STILL FULL HEALTH.

I don't know why you feel trynd's dash does decent damage, but lol. No. It scales of AP! Are you high?

As for his little slow. It's not terrible, but it's sure as hell not hard CC. You know who has hard CC? Yasuo. Twice. HE can't reduce your AD technically, but being stunned for 2 seconds because he dashed into you, hit Q to knock you up and them mashed R essentially takes away ALL your AD for those two seconds you're stunned and airborne. Hell, he can hard CC you off of someone ELSE'S hard CC. He can just chill back behind his tanks all safe until someone goes in, then suddenly he's in the fight spanking you and proccing a massive armor shred. So his R is hard CC, an armor shred, a damage spell AND a mobility spell that instantly takes him in on his target. Hell, it can even hit multiple people for teamfight death! Trynd can't teamfight worth a shit and he gets owned by anyone who can kite him. You can't kite Yasuo as long as there are minions around. FYI, they're in every lane.

Yasuo take skill to play WELL. He also does half-decently against low elo players by just going all-in like a spaz whenever he can because of how hard he snowballs off early gold. Granted, the times he isn't getting fed he's feeding his ass off when people play him this way... but again... dude scales so hard that he never really falls off or becomes useless. Especially in the shit elos where games drag on cause no one knows how to finish them and throws are super common.

Yasuo DOES take more skill to play well than Trynd does... but you don't need to play either well to be a massive pain in the ass for 75% of the playerbase.

Yasuo is everything that Tryndamere should be. He is far healthier for the game than Trynd has ever been. Can Yasuo feel absurd at times? Yes, he can, I won't deny that, but there has never been a time when Tryndamere has not been absurd.

Trynd's playstyle IS extremely obnoxious, this I will give you. I'd still rather deal with him than ANOTHER Yasuo mid or top tho.

Trynd is actually not too problematic. He's a scrub-stomper... Like Master Yi. He is there to give new players and bad players a hard time before they git gud and learn to deal with his bullshit. He does ONE thing and it's predictable as hell... he is NOT that hard to beat. He has no bells and whistles, either. Just... auto-attacks and a few skills to let him auto attack you more. If you cannot deal with Trynd, I'll give you the same advice I give everyone when dealing with a troublesome champ.

Play him. You will learn his flaws REAL quick when you pick him up and try to pull off the same shit you think other people do with ease because "he's broken". And even if you don't play him ever again, you'll know more about how to beat him. No downside to it.

Tryndamere doesnt have inbuilt armor penetration so armor counters him hard. Trynda is easily bursted down and susceptible to CC. Range champs can destroy Trynda in laning phase. Trynda is bad in teamfights

imo urgot and eve deserve their more, as eve is either game breaking or irrelevant cheese while ugot is literally a meme.
