Just make it to where If a target has been rooted in the last 5 seconds the root duration is reduced by .75 seconds, stacks 4 times to a duration of 0 seconds. this change removes the annoying infinite root thing, but keeps Ryzes ability to root down the whole enemy team if he positions himself correctly... I like his ability to cast roots over and over for that reason.

This change would make keep the damage and the speed but reduce its 1v1 outrageousness. So the good Ryze could still lock down a few priority targets.

I find it weird that they made his Q a skillshot when his main problem was that he could lock you up with W and force feed you Qs. If anything his W should have been a skillshot, something like Karthus Q.

Idk one of the main reasons I tolerate his existance is that he murders faggets like Fizz and Riven reliably with it. The Q is what was hurting poor melees in general.

maybe they didn't know how to build ryze or didn't build him tanky enough. mundo is good when he can outsustain his opponent's damage and can rock 1v1 depending upon their build, otherwise a team can burst him down

I like the new ryze but I can understand why people are complaining, lol, first match with him against intermediate bots, built hp tanky with ROA, went 9/0 with an olaf in the same lane XD I did follow the advice to level his W early, though I mixed it around a little. his poke suffers a lot but it does make it where yuo can hit reliably because of the slow travel speed of his Q compared to some skillshots, but its still decent
