ADC discussions are just like before 8.11 now
non adc mains: "wow adcs are meta again, nice diversity riot"
not understanding that: -melees will always be shit against ranged champions unless Riot heavily work on melee vs ranged laning pathern, and mages will push out everyone out of botlane if said diversity was allowed.
not believing me? What did we see in high elo right after 8.11? Mages Irelia and Yasuo being played botlane botlane nice, what did we see after 1 week in high elo?

http://gol.gg/champion/list/season-S8/split-ALL/tournament-ALL/patch-8.11/role-ADC/league-ALL/
witness how irelia had so much picks midlane, but was picked 5 times botlane
why? because it sucked
Melees in this game cannot duolane because for some reasons their kit scales so much with levels due to not only the amount of power loaded into their base stats but also their spells. They can't go botlane.
Said diversity just replaced ADC with ADC that had 3k hp and kept healing/shielding themselves tell me how it's fair to fight vladimir that keeps dealing a shit ton of damage while tanking so much damage and healing himself?
"look X Y and Z were picked, so adcs weren't trash and we had diversity" I main Lucian and Ashe, Lucian was S tier and got nerfed, Ashe was somewhat playable in pro and shit in regular (getting oneshot against vlad everytime, yikes). the problem wasn't that the entire class was garbage I'm not going to say "adcs were all garbage gj riot" because i know that not all adcs were garbage the problem was that half of adcs were legit unplayable, and they could only go botlane. No other lane was open for them. How is that fair? When a champion is weak riot always help them unless said champion does not deserve attention due to design issues. Kalista for instance is not getting attention. I get people want more than one class to be played botlane, but if there are champions in that class who can only go botlane, how is it going to be fair to completely remove them from botlane while they have no other lanes.
Now we have adc mains: "adcs aren't strong, look only X amount of adc has over 50% win rate" "don't nerf kai'sa, buff other adcs" oh boy the return of that argument, not understanding that when adcs play against each other they can't have all >50% win rate because both team have an adc. You know why I also can't stand that argument it's because it's mostly used by jhin and kai'sa mains that want their mains to keep dominating everyone
[zombie-brand-facepalm]
I feel like there is no way to make everyone happy, but there is only a way to make every champion playable somewhere.
I personally have more fun playing against adcs every games, than playing against swain or vlad
bot, which lets me play him more because I love the champ but dislike the solo lanes. I want to play
and
down there for the same reasons, but that's not been working out because the playstyle just... feels so different. I genuinely feel alienated trying to learn these two atm. (The only mages I've played aside from them are
,
,
, and
, which I've tried but I'm not doing well with them in a duo lane either)
