The current state of Renekton, and why it needs some improvements.

The poor old reptile has gone from a once top lane god to be feared by all, to a lackluster pick who falls off the face of the earth during the late game. Renekton just does not have enough damage, CC, or really anything helpful to the table to compete with other top lane picks. And now, with the new Juggernaut Update, the crocodile's low damage and adequate tankiness has been nudged out of the way for high health high damage picks. Renekton's problems that were apparent in previous seasons have now become worse and worse. He simply cannot keep up in this meta anymore. Maybe give him some more Q damage to make it feel good to use, maybe increase the heal, or the base stun on his W, I don't know. Anything to help out this poor creature before the only thing he's good for anymore is making nice pairs of boots.

I think the advent of item 3748 is all the late-game scaling they need to give Renekton. But he could certainly do with some buffs and QoL changes to bring him up to speed again. Buff his late game tankiness rather than his late game damage, for example.

What if they removed the armor shred from his Empowered E, since we almost never use it anyway, and make it so that if you Empower Slice and Dice's second cast, you get a third cast of it? This would help late game Renektons dive deep into enemy backlines, sacrificing damage to do so, and lock down the enemy ADC with Ruthless Predator while allies catch up.

A good way to buff Renekton's late game tankiness would be to make Cull the Meek heal for a percentage rather than a flat amount. Late game, his Q's heal is hardly noticeable. But if you make it, say, a percentage of his missing HP on normal cast, and a percentage of his maximum HP on Empowered cast, then he has a really tough decision to make on which Empowered ability to use. Do I use Q, for sustain, W, for damage and CC, or E, for extra mobility (Assuming the above proposed change)?

As a guy that used to LOVE to play Renekton, I couldn't agree more.

Does he dominate early game? Yes.

Does he fall off to the pits of hell late game? Yes.

So yeah, I agree with the Q damage buff, it would be nice to see.

Yes,Rene dominates too without single brain cell. Darius can be defeated.

Now and days, not as much as before. Try playing against someone new, like Garen or Darius. If you can't get that kill before six you might as well just go AFK for all the good you'll do for your team.

I would not mind sacrificing some early power to scale better. I mean, his kit is versatile enough to be able to survive bad lanes. He's got dashes, sustain, and CC.
