Solution to duos boosting

Since Riot's made it clear that as long as you're not sharing accounts, it's not punishable for a diamond player to boost a low ranking friend using a smurf account, we often encounter such players who ruin the spirit of the MMR/Rank system.

But with the new addition of ~infinite Summoner leveling, there's now a way to somewhat fix this issue. Since the lower-rank player would normally be using their main while their ally uses an account they recently leveled to 30 explicitly for this purpose, there could be a big LP penalty for players duo'd with someone with a high level difference. Something like a 50 or 60 level difference, so that it doesn't unfairly effect people who are just duoing with someone who hasn't played in a little while.

Edit: I thought of a slight alteration that would further decrease the effect on legitimate duos; the level difference penalty would only come into effect if one of the accounts is below 50.

This would also hurt people playing with their friends who might not play as much (just duoing without smurfing). This would only make it slightly more inconvenient for boosters and also make it inconvenient for innocent players. Rather than it hurting innocent players and boosters i would much rather just keep it the way it is. No sense in hurting innocent players and boosters if it doesnt completely stop boosters.

I accounted for that with such a high difference requirement.

And that is the dumbest logic ever. That's like saying it'd fine to troll because there's "no point in reducing the chance of losing by playing well if it isn't guaranteed."

Even if someone legitimately hasn't been playing for so long that there's a 60 level difference between a friend they want to duo with and them, then they really shouldn't be allowed to play with them in the first place. In the time it takes for a regular player (not a pro or streamer) to get 60 levels, there'd have been so many patches that they shouldn't be allowed in ranked until they've practiced in norms.

I think you misunderstood my point. Rather than hurt innocent players and boosters its better to just not hurt either since for one it would hurt innocent players more than boosters.

Another point that i think you might be unaware of that lvl has nothing to do with skill. You get exp for how long the game is, not how well you did in it.

There are plenty of bronze/silver players that are 150+ lvl. This system would basically make it so they cant play with any of their friends or atleast not without penalizing them for no reason at all.

For me personally ive been playing since the start of season 3 so almost 6 years, but once the uncapped lvling came out i havent played too much only when i have a group of friends on. Im currently lvl 85 and most of the people on my friends list are lvl 120+ so if i duod with them either both of us would get penalized or only they would because they are higher lvl, even though we are at the same skill lvl and near the same rank. Neither one of us have done anything wrong yet you think we shouldnt be able to duo together or we should get penalized simply because of a lvl that doesnt mean anything. Lvls dont mean skill or even experience.
