Personal Champion Sorting
I've recently come to a conclusion; when a person owns a large-- and I mean LARGE amount of the available champions, it can be quite a chore to decide on which champion to play for a specific role, especially when your primary choices are on different ends of the alphabetical sorting in champion select. I believe that we need to begin to work on a personal sorting filter for champion select, available to all-- but most beneficial to those who own a ludicrous amount of champions.
I own all but three of the available champions, and to be fair-- the basic filters available are not always logical nor are they beneficial to speeding up player selection in champion select.

- Your assigned role is "Support" you aim to pick based off the needs of your team as the team composition forms.
- You've got an idea; before even playing the game, what type of champion you would like to play-- but no set-in-stone champions yet.
- You've got experience supporting multiple champions, and have a general idea of what you're comfortable playing as, based on who you're supporting.
- You notice the ADC picks something you're unfamiliar with, and would like to see a list of the available champions you're comfortable playing with-- however; The generic sorting does not consider tanks/fighters that are often used as supports into the support category:
![]()
![]()
Nor does it consider the aggressive casters:
![]()
![]()
- So, we're unable to sort through these quickly and effectively to see our available choices, based on a level of comfort.
With the resources available I believe that like item sets, players should be able to create their own categories for champions, allowing them to go through the list of champions, and mark Champions A, B and F as "Support" and B, F, G and M as "Top" based on their own preferences. That is the kind of filtering I am hoping to see in the future...
As League of Legends is constantly evolving, and new players joining all the time-- we've got hundreds of thousands of opinions on where a champion belongs, and while Support is a generic title given to a champion, it may not be the most effective title to be used when filtering a champion.
I do not expect my opinion to affect how Riot designs their game. I just wish to voice my opinion on my belief that a system such as this could reduce and possibly eliminate the stress during champion select; by allowing players to customize the sorting of champions through the use of some form of "tagging" system.
