Taliyah does too much damage

It's really that simple. I think her kit is great. It's an interesting design and has clear strengths and weaknesses. I think her damage is simply overturned at the moment and needs slight adjustments.

watch out, you're going to trigger the taliyah mains of the board that think riot ruined her a long time ago, when clearly her stats in soloq and her dominance on the pro scene say the opposite

I can't speak for all the Taliyah mains on the boards but power wise she's fine imo, my main complaints are about vector casting, removing lock out, and the accompanying nerfs making her less healthy and fun to play. If they wanted to nerf her damage I think the best way to do that would be to raise q cooldown at higher ranks.

nah she's fine, she used to have 53% win rate before, but now her win rate is around 50% in plat+ and diamond+

however it was hilarious seeing all those "mains" saying how trashed she was

Kinda hard to take damage away from a mage meant to do damage when they don't do damage on their ult. And no that isn't a suggestion of moving damage over to her ult.

Why? You're pretending like her ult isn't hugely powerful. She literally can force towers down with it.

She can have some damage reduced and be fine. I hate this idea that we can't touch damage dealers numbers when they're clearly too high because "damage is all they do." And in taliyahs case, that isn't true.

Illaoi ?

Okay and what if she does too much damage? It still is possible for their damage to be overtuned

if you made it so she can't roffle there'd be no point to picking her. Though I will agree that Taliyah being able to 100-0 through hexdrinker + mercs with just her combo is silly. In the same turn however Illaoi can do the same thing with E Q. And if we remove roffling all together we'd just go back to 5 sunfire metas again.

give me a giant wall and an aoe displacement and i'll accept damage nerfs

she's a UTILITY MAGE you can't nerf those

And to think that she was heavily nerfed not too long ago and briefly disappeared from the meta...

things change boss, it's a complicated game

She just does more dps than other mages because her damage is tied to her non-ultimate spells. Stay out of the range of her spells or bait them out and you should be fine, she needs to hit her combo to kill so I don't see what the problem with her is.

I don't know how to use Taliyah and every time I see her it's just kinda like, "Step another step (to the right)" and I mock all her lines while I'm against her. I've also never faced good Taliyahs.

She seems to be touted as a high performance so I'm interested to know how. I thought most of her power was in her mines vs dashes?

What makes Taliyah powerful? As a non-player, non-opponent of her, I wonder what brings her up so far?

She was described by the shotcallers in one livestream as the AP Yasuo - and while I think it is a bit of an apples/oranges comparison, there is a gist of truth there. She can wave clear very well - which means that she scales quickly. Also, when scaled properly, she can 1 v 1 easily. She is also a playmaker with her ult - easy zone off and stomp.

The only problem is that at lower tiers, like Yasuo, many players don't know how to prepare her masteries and runes, let alone play her properly. Plus, like Bard and Anivia, her ult can be quite game-changing. Consequently, she can become the AP Trashuo quite easily, to loosely build on the LCS callers' reference. And, if you've seen bad Taliyah play, then you know what I mean.

(Dang, I can't think of a good wordplay for a bad Taliyah - Maliyah? Taliyuck? Anyone? Anyone? :p)

I love taliyah alot more than champs like syndra that just need to press R and ggwp.. You should be happy that she has to get her combo right and clearly cannot spam her Q which is her most damaging skill. I like everything about her design and do not think she needs any nerfs. Balanced champs should be left alone.
