The only reason that post isn't downvoted into oblivion is because those 3 champions have bad reputations which makes them easy to pick on lol

I don't know about that statement, mate. It's either "Riot doesn't know how to balance League because half or the champions rub me the wrong way" or it's "i can't face the truth that i'm not good so i'll point a finger at someone else to blame". Occam's Razor is a philosophical principle that can give you a correct answer in your case. The more assumptions you have to make in order to support your theory that Riot is just terrible at balancing their game, the unlikelier the theory is.
Because the champions you don't like aren't in the same class or role and it's very unlikely that half of them are just out of whack so much that you (or anyone) can't play against them. You're not a good League player if you really think this is the case and you're lying to yourself by pointing a finger and blaming someone else for that.

Secondly, this "optimal performance" you're speaking of is only applicable to top tier Challengers and pro players. You don't need to concern yourself with what's viable unter the optimal circumstances, considering you'll never even smell that rank, let alone be there at one point in time. Don't think of this as an insult, i won't be there either. As a matter of fact, 99% of the playerbase won't.
If you want to make a specific case that pros and high Challengers need more bans, be my guest. But the topic of this discussion is that someone requested that we need more bans because, oh lawdy, they just can't deal with champions in general. And what better way to win a lane then to eliminate the opponent entirely from picking anything viable? It's all shite picks for them, you get the good stuff. Because that's fair.

anyways as many "pro and high challengers" will agree that somewhere starting around high plat champion picks win the lane rather than skill because the players are fairly close to optimal laning, sure you can still beat these players with superior decision making and shit but the champion picks dictate the lane which is the main reason i stopped playing top lane and started jungling somewhere around that elo.
what better way to win a lane then to eliminate the opponent entirely from picking anything viable?
i mean none of the champions OP listed are even good, the champions are just ... well more or less cancer if you will.

Zoe's Q is not a Syndra R... its a very difficult telegraphed skill shot. syndra's R is a point and click nuke...
Suicidal Maniac5 votesZoe is not incredibly broken as the game stands right now, her base damage is in a good spot and her e is INCREDIBLY easy to dodge. Fizz is not good in a team wide sense, the amount of fizz picks that lose games right now is insane. And yasuo is incredibly easy to shutdown with any CC. Current bans mid are more morg, who is broken, with her completely counter intuitive kit, where she can brain dead waveclear without having to worry about poke, q if you try and do anything, and even if she misses she presses r and zhonya's or stopwatch and you also have to back off OR die. Trynda is another example of a ban worthy champion.

None of those champions are overpowered.
I'd argue that Yasuo is a little overtuned at the moment and the stats sort of back that up. I know people hate hearing about the LCS here but he is pick or ban for a reason. Not that it really matters to me, keeping him banned is not a problem usually.
Silly Neeko3 votesMy philosophy is in my games to generally not ban anyone unless i have a friend in the lobby with me who asked previously if i could ban someone.
Reason why is i do not mind who i play against. Others can ban who they want, but think of it this way:
High pick rate with high ban rate = about the same as a low pick rate champ or off meta. I have stomped some people with Mordekaiser top just because nobody plays him really.... so they forget what they do or how much they can do early.
If i play against one of those high pick rate champions i want to know how to play against them. Every champion has a weakness that can be exploited, your job is to find it, and stab it so hard with a knife they regret picking that champion.
Plus theres quite a few people that pick a champ just because its "instant win" then they do horrible and want to ff@15. Then proceed to spam surrender until the game is over.
But thats just me lol

These are roughly the champs you'd have to ban to have a somewhat balanced game.
