"It's not my job to win your lane noob"

sure, it isn't. but there are some matchups you get where unless you get ganks from your jungler often and early, you will lose. not to mention i ping 500 times for help, and jungler only decides to come when im dead and he can try to get cleanup, but actually just feed my laner another kill. im not saying carry me, im saying i won't always have the perfect matchup where i can be completely 100% independent and win the lane. but if you ignore my lane when i ping 500 times, and then rage at me because i fed someone who hard counterpicked me, im gonna leave your game. i hate dealing with that.

most of the time it's not even me feeding, its just them denying me farm, gold, and experience by keeping me from farming, and then turret diving me when they're sufficiently ahead. and that takes minutes. so if you ignore a laner while they're going through that, you're a bad jungler.

not to mention all those games eventually the jungler just comes into my lane after i lose a turret, and just takes all of the farm i actually CAN get at that point saying "you don't need it anyway you suck"

I bet you ask the jungler to gank at level 3 while he's half health.

i ask him to gank when an easy kill presents itself and he can get some gold. but they never come. then get mad when i eventually end up losing lane.

This is exactly the type of attitude that makes junglers pissed off. We got a lot of other shit to do besides babysit you because you have a hard lane. I have to keep healthy in this hard ass jungle so I'm even able to help you, I have to get my own farm to make sure I don't fall behind, make sure my own buffs are down so they're not poached, make sure Drag won't be taken while I'm at top lane messing around with you, smite the Chickens so I can not waste time in a warded bush, etc.

In other words, I'll come when I'm ready. In the meantime deal with it- that's part of the lane and part of the game.

I Prefer top, support and jungle. Playing Jungle and Top more often of course and I can humbly say that I do not agree with your opinion at all. As a player at my current elo who is comfortable in all roles BUT ADC (adc champs just aint for me atm), I understand what everyone on the map needs and how it feels to get a good jungler and to not get one. Personally when I solo lane or even support, I make sure I DONT need the jungler by trying dominate the lane myself using various lane strategies. However IT IS the jungler's job to get your carry lanes fed and make sure you can assist every lane in any way you can.

Most junglers get pissed off when yo tell them the truth about thier role simply because they aren't that well at it truth be told. As a jungler your responsibility is great and I can understand how overwhelming it can be, however you need to be more organized with your jungle path and more decisive with your decisions by having CLEAR priorities checking off everything on your to do list. If you aren't active around the map then you aren't doing you job and you dont have to get a kill in lane for a gank to be successful.

Your presence alone can help YOUR laner zone out the enemy which is GOOD. Sometimes they just needs that extra breathing room for farm. Dont call your laners bad, even if they are it helps none. Your job as a jungler is complex in execution but simple in concept. Be active around the ENTIRE map. Thats it, and if you did your part to help top by showing up once or twice and they still fall behind, well thats on them. You dont need to camp a struggling lane, thats up to you and your situation, but you should never feel that your over burdened. Being all over the map comes with the job, dont start complaining.

Ideally, yes. A jungler would love to be omnipresent, get to every lane multiple times, farm up his jungle, counter jungle, contest every dragon, etc. In practice it usually doesn't work that way. Sometimes you have a Fizz mid that you want to get snowballing early, so you focus on him. Sometimes you have a Nunu poaching all your shit early, so you need assistance just to defend your own jungle to farm. Sometimes you want to harass an Amumu out of his own jungle. Sometimes you focus on a good bot lane duo to ramp up kills, an early turret, and easy dragon control from then on. Sometimes you have Devourer and want to get some stacks early.

The main point is that jungler has to make choices. It's one or the other. No jungler is perfect and bad choices are made all the time. but while you're trying to make good decisions for the whole team, nothing is worse than a laner who feels **entitled ** to ganks who's only worried about his lane. Asking for assistance is fine, and judging a jungler for his bad/good decisions is fine as well, but it's that selfish attitude that is the worst.

Pretty much this, it's impossible to fulfill every capable function as a jungler, so you need to pick and choose the best options to get the best out of your situation. If you're up against a Garen in the top lane, unless its riven or irelia or any other snowball champion, chances are, I'm never going to bother ganking that lane since he's incredibly difficult to kill. I'd rather focus on bottom lane control as constant top lane ganks which most likely will not result in a kill are a waste time as oppose to being able to control bottom lane.

This is just one example of numerous decisions a jungler needs to make.

As a jungler, I can tell you, I will be far less incline to help someone who pings 500 times as oppose to only a couple times. It's annoying, and usually only indicates to me that even if I help you, you're going to be pinging another 500 times again in another minute asking for help. At which point, even if the other player hasn't killed you yet, I will consider it a lost lane.

Also, a massive pet peeve of mine, top laners getting pissed that there's no gank coming their way...when I'm all the way on the bottom lane, and vice versa, we're only one person, we can not be everywhere on the map unless you're Shen with TP.

I can tell you haven't tried new jungles, if we're clearing blue chances are, unless it is a champion with good sustain (WW and Nunu), junglers are never going to have sufficient HP for a safe gank after clearing blue, you rarely smite blue anymore and it hurts to clear it. So the fact you expect a gank after taking blue, especially if its early game is a bit ridiculous. If it was red, you might have a bit more of a better argument.

Just because you think something will be an easy kill, doesn't necessarily mean it will lead to an easy kill.

This kind of lane is the least productive lane to gank. Highest risk, lowest reward. Better to gank your ahead lanes until they are crushing than try to keep your behind lanes just hanging on.

not to mention i ping 500 times for help

Don't be annoying.

im gonna leave your game. i hate dealing with that.

Don't be a dick.

Don't let them dive you. Concede the turret if it's not safe to stay.

Just lose lane as slowly as possible, buying your jungler as much time as possible to get your other lanes going.

not to mention all those games eventually the jungler just comes into my lane after i lose a turret, and just takes all of the farm i actually CAN get at that point saying "you don't need it anyway you suck"

You shouldn't care who on your team gets the farm as long as someone does.

The jungle is harder. I'm sorry, but the jungler cannot spend their entire time trying to gank your lane now, due to having less hp and mana, more emphasis on dragon, and 2 other lanes.

im not saying spend all of your time on my lane. im saying when you're in blue camp, and i ping 500 times for help, please come help instead of just fucking around, and if you don't please don't rage at me when they turret dive me.

Meep Man1 votes

Dont ping 500 times for help. Ping at most 3 times and then once every so seconds if they dont respond in any way. Its annoying to everyone else.

If you consider jungling" fking around" you most likely have no clue about jungling, grab some cornflakes and watch some hours of Theoddone or another great Streamer to learn how much "work" junglers do while you only have to bother about your lasthits and placing a ward every 3 minutes.

Please try jungling for yourself before you make such stupid comments.

Depends on how extended each lane is.

is OP in bronze?

Top lane is almost meaningless now. Pick a ranged champ that has no hard counters and dont feed. EZGAME.

I've had cases where they're just being jerks, but try to understand the difference between that and when they just can't help you.

Some lanes are just stupidly hard to gank ahem Veigar Corki Tristana Janna Sona

Other times, they know that you won't be able to follow up or supply any progress and it's better they don't interfere 'less they only make the situation worse.

That out of the way, if they don't know the right times to gank, they really need to learn better jungling.

Emmy Cha0s3 votes

Sona is one of the easiest lanes to gank actually. I've heard this first-hand from several jungle mains. She's the most immobile support in the game and one of the squishiest champions, especially since her base HP was nerfed and Celerity's passive was removed. A Sona without Flash is a free kill, hell even with Flash farming her is still easier than farming a melee minion.

FantasySniper1 votes

Damn it. Meant Soraka .

Sona's actually the easiest to gank is she doesn't have any vision up.

What? are you implying junglers are wrong sometimes? no way!

If you ping 500 times for help I most likely already set you to ignore.

There are some matchups which you won't win. But if you have semi decent skill you also won't feed them into oblivion.

Junglers want kills and assists too, that's why we do it when we can afford it. If you leave the impression that you won't be of any use even if get a kill upon a gank there'S a good chance we rather try to get another lane rolling.

"Pinign 500 times" is a sign of desparation, if you're that much trouble I don't expact a single gank to fix your laning.

If u r in a matchup that counters u sit under turret and farm bro jungling isnt easy its rough managing ganks to ungrateful laners like u and farming to stay same lvl an everyone else

Lane counters are usually not a problem in this game. Mostly, its bad players who put themselves in a really bad situation who feel like they need ganks or good players that just did something stupidly aggressive that did not pan out.

DarthSpectrum1 votes

Although I do not disagree with what you are saying, I would like to remind you that Junglers have their own things to do as well. They have to actively clear camps in order to gain gold and exp, while a champion in a lane will automatically get exp from tower and minion kills.

As well, not all Junglers can gank effectively. With champions such as WW or Udyr, until they get a few levels, the only thing they should do is AFK farm. Another aspect is that just as a laner can be bad, so can the junglers. Often, it is not immediately evident since monsters are AI controlled, but keep in mind that not everyone is proficient with the role. In solo queue, don't depend on anyone but yourself.

The best solution to this is to play jungle yourself to better understand when a gank is possible or play with a friend that you know can jungle properly.

Alljoy1 votes

It'd probably be better to help the other lanes snowball than camp and babysit that one lane hoping it catches up.

PrinceArchie1 votes

Im genuinely curious as I can see a common trend here and my "reply" comment was downvoted lol. IS this a popular consensus among junglers? Complain about thier sustain and just focus on themselves? I mean again as a fellow jungler I understand, but I don't see the big deal about making your presence be known in every lane at least ONCE even if it isnt a full fledged gank during the laning phase. Yes you don't want to fall behind in farm, and yes the jungle is harder especially champs without awesome sustain. But there seems to be a little too much contempt for these laners. If you want people to respect you as a jungler you can't really think simply saying "your lane is not my problem" helps that cause. No matter how drastically the jungle has changed lol.
