Resourceless champions should get reduced values on lifesteal

Ranged champions should too, no reason why Caitlyn and Fiora get same lifesteal values when Caitlyn also has 650 range

It's hilarious how a Zed actually maximizes his burst by building a DPS item with high sustain.

There has to be done something about this...

Zed relies on autoattacks to outdamage other assassins.

So yes, building something that lets him autoattack more often maximizes his damage. Bonus if that thing had lifesteal component, % current health damage on-hit, % max health and slow as an active, and actually gives AD.

I was refering to how incredibly broken it is that his mark leverages the BotrK active for that unbelieveable burst.

And yet, you don't find it balanced by the fact that his entire burst is blocked by Zhonya's and QSS, not to mention the myriad of champion abilities?

Most stupid argument ever and tbh I don't know why people keep bringign this - sorry - idiocy up.

1.) Zhonyas blocks ANY burst. Not to mention that many casters solely rely on burst - while Zed even if he can't nuke enemies still has one of the best DPS potentials among all; and posses one of the most consistent threats due to not be limited by mana.

2.) Congrats with QSS you just lost your lane, cause Zed finishes his Brutalizer at the same time and now does 30% or more extra damage with his poke cause QSS grants 0 stats that help against him. Since his 2nd item builds out of Lifesteal you will not get horribly wrecked in lane. Btw. he still can use his ultimate to dodge yours.

Fiora already gains health back passively, has two gapclosers on one ability, the ability to negate an AA and return the damage, a massive move speed steroid and an ult that makes her untargetable and gives her considerable damage against both single targets and large groups... and you want to nerf Caitlyn because she has more range?

I'm willing to discuss, but you need a MUCH better example to work with. I'm not saying Cait is weak. But I really don't see as much of an issue between ranged/melee. Melee typically have better steroids and gap closers, ranged have... range. Typically, not every time though lol. Pretty sure no one can out dps Draven though, because no one should... like ever.

It's not season 3 anymore, hasn't she been through enough abuse from Morello and his goons?

How does this help anything at all, and why so arbitrarily lifesteal on resourceless champions.

the lifesteal component and not having to pay for using abilities doesn't evn interact with one another.

Yes.

On top of that, lifesteal should become proximity based, at least on minions - you only get the full amount if you're close to the target minion.

what?

You cant NOT be close to a target minion to life steal. You need to AA it.

The only people who arent close to do that are Ezreal, and Gangplank.

Gangplank only be having 625 range on his pistol

Caitlyn and Tristana gots more than that

So in other words, you want to make lifesteal work only in melee range.

Fuck off.

No, I was just clarifying that there are champions with more range than Gangplank's Q

I don't care about the subject of the thread

Think he meant ult.

Hehe, I dont know. Zed would be really sad. But it would probably be for the better. However, I then see a bunch of people just buying Elixir of Wrath.

I'd agree, but only against minions.

Well, I'm more of the opinion that resourceless champs should get reduced values on spell vamp, with that reduction fading away as the game progresses (since later on in the game resourcelessness is generally not much of an edge over using mana)

As for the whole ranged/melee lifesteal thing... idk. I used to think ranged should get reduced lifesteal all-around, but honestly now I'm more of the opinion that lifesteal (and spellvamp) should be diminished significantly on minions and monsters instead, with ranged attacks getting diminished more harshly (like, melee attacks only lifesteal at 65% strength, while ranged attacks only lifesteal at 35% strength). Ranged attacks are significantly more usable and safer for lifestealing in lane, so they don't deserve the same returns from lifesteal as melees in that capacity... but in PvP the difference between ranged lifesteal and melee with regards to risk and usability is not nearly as significant (though a disparity still exists)

It might help tone down the ridiculousness of ADc lifestealing if bonus damage from crits wasn't able to lifesteal, though (they'd still leech off the regular damage from their attacks, they'd just get nothing extra when they crit).

Problem is, Morde and Vlad count as resourceless (probably, though health is quite the resource) and they are the ones that need it most because they kill themselves without it (morde moreso than Vlad).

Which also goes for Aatrox & Lifesteal

Ranged i agree with, theres no reason why ranged champions should be able to easily heal to full off a minion wave when its hard to put the damage on to begin with. If spellvamp is reduced on AOE because it would be too easy to heal, the same should be for Lifesteal.
