Sett does not need base stat nerfs

He is a champion that relies on base defensive stats. I don’t think it’s wise to hurt this area, because then you allow the ridiculous aspects of his kit to flourish when that shouldn’t be the case - although I do think a base regen nerf is in order, but not base armor. I think a very simple fix would be to reduce the stun duration on his E. In melee match-ups in particular, this spell is incredibly punishing. It’s easy as hell for him to land it, and he gets a 1 second stun upon doing so. I’d argue it shouldn’t stun at all, since he already has tools to stick to targets with his Q and R, not to mention his E still slows. The problem you get here is that when he stuns you, he has 1 full second to beat up on you without you being able to retaliate. He doesn’t even need to get low on HP so be threatening here, the damage on his Q and passive is damaging enough.

So I would propose a few ideas here:

Remove the stun entirely, and give it the talon treatment: a 99% slow for 1 second. He can still stay on top of you here, but you can at least cast spells to fight back. This does hurt his teamfight though, but I think it’s probably the best of all worlds.

Allow the stun to remain, but make it much harder to land by slowing the launching speed of his E or reducing the hit box. This is funky to me, because it really wouldnt change much in melee match ups, while dicking him more in ranged match ups.

Nerf the duration of the stun at early levels, and also increase the early level cooldowns so he’s not so punishing in lane.

I really think Riot should reconsider their base stat nerfs. I wouldn’t even be against removing all the current nerfs if they really take away the power of his E. His W is unique and quite frankly, fucking cool. Even his Q and passive feel incredibly unique. For this, base stats really matter to both his W and Q because he depends on regen and durability to maximize their effectiveness. That’s not what really makes him busted though, it’s the fact that it’s easy for him to stun his targets and they can’t really fight back. That’s the real problem.

You want to know how to nerf Sett ?

Fucking allow his W to be interrupted by cc like garen silence, ornn knock up and like stuns... There he is nerfed and he didn't need any of the initial nerfs, now he is balanced like all other champs that can be interrupted.

Why do people think it's his spells that are broken? It's only his passive.

i'd say his q is actually the most boring ability he has, its only kinda cool bc of how it interacts with his passive, but all it is; is a MS buff and AD buff. Personally i think it gives him a bit too much mobility/target access, id like to see him lose the MS buff from Q, and see how he does then.

That aside i do think pull comes out a bit too fast and has a bit too much range for a Juggernaut

Nah the only nerfs he needs is his passive regen to scale better and not be so much early, and either a ratio nerf or a base dmg tune up to his w, then hes ok, well that and the nerf they are doing to his ult, ive now been on the receiving end of that, 1.5 seconds of practically a stun, giving you no room to actually dodge, is a bit much.

His Q honestly needs changes. He suffers the same problem Aatrox does when it comes to tanks (mainly armor stacking): He lacks kill power against them. Sure, you can R them and use their health against their team, but thats about it aside from W, but some tanks have a way of working around it. I will give Riot the fact he can kill tanks unlike Aatrox, who honestly is just a toddler swinging a pool noodle in terms of damage.

His passive is easily the most disgusting thing he has. Give it an internal cooldown, PLEEEEASE!
