Oh God...........

I........UUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

We can't make those mistakes against the likes of Long Zhu or SKT.......if Lyon wasn't from an emerging region, this game would have been over at 25 minutes.

I am a Cloud 9 fan, and a pretty big one at that. But I will be first to admit that we should have lost that game. We had no right to winning that game.

In most any sport, even championship teams have a game where they're not at their best. The championships are won on the basis of gritting those out. C-9 did what they had to do. Game one was no test. That was easy. This one tested their resolve. They won it. And it's a great example of why you never ever, vote to forfeit.

Lucky Impact had Cho. If he was on pretty much any other champ after getting shit on and shut down he never would have been relevant and C9 wouldn't have come back. That was just shameful on all levels, that C9 was able to come back, that Lyon let Cho through, and that Riot let a champ so busted into the World's patch as is.

Lyon took more fights than they really should have frankly. It's like they could only win by scrapping which was a glaring weakness in their WE matches. I don't expect C9 to let an early game like that happen again.

IDK about you guys but that game was dope, and i see your point of "emerging" regions not being able to finish games strong, but that really shows the experience C9 has with international play. Clenched I was, but C9 showed they are a dominant team from a dominant region and that other regions are going to have to step op their standard of play to compete at worlds.

Maybe so but at the end of the day, who cares. C9 won and any team will take a W over L. I personally love NA teams that can go the distance against good teams, IWC or LCK, over the ones that get stomped pre 20 mins or gets ahead and stomps the enemy team. C9 was down for most of the game and still won > C9 wins or loses pre 20.

Yeah, they won't be able to make those mistakes again, but on the flip side C9 was still able to pull a win out of their butts.

It's exactly how Samsung beat KT Rolster to go to worlds.

Got stomped early, pushed back, lost inhibitors. But they held the line where it mattered: the nexus. They held on long enough to scale up, to complete items, where gold leads didn't matter, and then won through their teamfighting and shotcalling.

Was it clean? No, but it's just as much a showing of their caliber of team.

i honestly really enjoy watching lyon gaming play, if only they went against another team i would have rooted for them.

I thought that game was fun to watch, but it stressed me out a little bit. Once they got the 3 inhibs up I had a feeling they were going to pull it off.

No team has a right to winning anything. C9 played poor early, then came back and won after team fighting broke out. There are different phases to the game, and C9 showed they were better post laning phase, despite the significant lead that Lyon took early. But if Lyon deserved to win, then they would have finished it and won.

This likely wouldn't happen against a higher tier team though.
