Is this investigation and explanation enough for an 'unauthorized member' joining the tournament

【2月18日 追記】LJL CS予選ならびにCS開幕戦に関してのご報告

This is the Challenger Series runs by LJL, League of Legends Japan League, which is an Official League in Japan authorized by Riot (They said it in their About Page !). The match is operated in NA server as we still have no server in Japan. In the private match finished in 4 Feb, Dragonfly Gaming (as DFG) had been suspected as used a player that is unauthorized to substitute one of their player (DFG Sebun, Summoner Name: Sebun). In the report of this incident, LJL states that they had investigated the team DFG by access check and interview to the team. The access check is confirmed as an access from NA, but they denied it as "Maybe it is an VPN", and denied the suspicion of substitution of member using the result of interview to the team.

As I know, Riot usually use the strange change of the habits in game-play as an evidence of smurf (such as different summoner's spell position), and will do deep investigation to confirm it. In this case, DFG Sebun has a very obvious evidence from his [match history](http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Sebun). The two Custom Game played by Nautilus is the Game in LJL CS. From the match history before and after the match in LJL CS, we can found following rules in his item building:
  1. Boots is always placed at 7th slot, no matter what roles or champions he is playing.

  2. Vision wards is always placed at 5th slot (if there have some) no matter what roles or champions he is playing.

  3. When he is playing support (which is his role in the LJL CS), the sightstone is always placed in 1st slot, and the support item is always placed in 2nd slot, no matter what champion he is playing.

  4. When he have a solari, it is always placed in 6th slot, no matter what champion he is playing. This habits is continued from at least one month ago, and is continued after the LJL CS match. But in the match of LJL CS, his habits isn't show up in his item builds, placing the sightstone at 3rd slot, placing boots at a random slot (In where he puts solari usual!). Also, from the op.gg's champion history, we can know this player didn't play Nautilus at all from S3. All of these is very unnatural actions for a player who is joining a pro-league.

Another evidence LJL didn't mentioned in their report is the skype log provided by team KINGDOM (as KNG), who had been lifetime ban because they released the information about DFG's suspicion before LJL's report. KNG's document about it is in This Page. The log in second group of skype log is the log between KNG and DFG. In this log, DFG had nearly confirmed that they had used substitution of player.

Above is the broad explanation of the LJL's decision, explanation about their investigation, and some evidence that I think they are lacking investigation/explanation a lot. All of these can be rejected as 'Maybe they had done it.', but the problem is they didn't show they had done it in anyway, and just left the 'Access Check' and 'Interview to the suspicious team' as their reason of punishment. I want Riot Games understand how this report had damaged LJL's confidence to the user, and want Riot can investigate this incident to give some answer that is reliable.

Finally DFG had pass out a report about this incident, stating their perspectives, but this is just another question to LJL.
The post is in [This Link](http://www.teamdfg.net/#!LJLCS-替え玉・マネージャーの態度の件/c193z/56c222300cf272fb57b51a24). In this report, DFG Leader stated about the substitution of the member in match, and the problem of their manager. In this post, I'm only referencing about the substitution of the member.

In the report, Leader is justifying as 'Sebun is stating He didn't be substituted by other player, nor accessing the game from foreign', and stating Sebun claimed the mismatch of item sets as 'I have NO habits to the item position. if I have some spare to do, i will, but in the match I was unable to sort the item as I was mental strain in my first Match, and leave the item as where they at when I purchase them'. They still didn't explain why they let Sebun used Nautilus, which is one Sebun never used.
Tow points DFG had explained also creating new problems. First, Sebun is stating he didn't accesing the game from foreign. This statement is conflicting with the official report from LJL, punishing Sebun with the foreign access. Second, the reason they used to deny the substitution of player is still not enough. The Official Math History's [Item build page](http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2087448752/22733912?tab=builds&participant=10) clearly shows there have some sorting of item in the game.

Combined with these, I wish LJL or Riot have some explanation that can satisfies audiences,

Hm, does seem suspicious. I guess I never really thought about it, in depth at least, but I guess every single player has habits they just don't deviate from. For example, I always put pots in 2 and wards in 3. I usually put active items in 1 and 2 (5 if there's pots in there). I have literally sat in the fountain for the 5 seconds it takes to rearrange things. Not doing this puts me off my game as I have to actually pay attention to where everything is and it's distracting.

I can imagine that a pro player has many different settings they can set things for; but the fact that this particular player is consistent with where they put things in every game they play...and then suddenly change...that's weird.

The drastic change in habit, and then the change in location.... I'm pretty sure Riot has banned people for sharing accounts in ranked with less information. How has this gone THIS long?

Hello guys, This LJL's probrem really needs urs opinions/helps.

Many Japanese are not good at English,so it's hard to start playing League on NA. But JP sv will come soon!! I really hope success. So..I don't want to cloud this issue. I think it's difficult to solve with JP Riot only...

Pls upvote for letting many ppl read this posting. Sorry for poor English, and Thanks for reading.

Having your items in specific places at all times reinforces muscle memory, making your actions faster and more reliable. I can say with some confidence that if you look at every pro player's match history, you will see they put the same items in the same slots with only slow or occasional changes as meta or habits shift.

A sudden change in placement of items or summoner spells is a definite red-flag that someone has been substituted.

LJL had better ban the teams using unauthorized members. Recover sportsmanship!

I read this from somewhere... bothers me I don't remember where exactly.

ANYWAY.

Yes, this is pretty obviously a sub... but still, passing it off as a VPN, when i remember that some other time VPN'S WERE ANNOUNCED AS UNALLOWED, kinda confuses me.

As for item habits; yes. Everyone who plays a lot has it. I personally sort my items as I build them like this:

Actives first slots and ordered by price, then passives by price. Sightstone/anything that is damage related (Bork, Hydra, etc) first slot of actives by price.

I'm a organization ho, okay? [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Sometimes I don't notice, but whenever I do I organize it. There's a few cases where I don't but I usually do. >_<

Ok let me see if I get this right, the Japan League had a tournament and they were playing on NA servers. The support who has not played Naut, played Naut and this threw up some suspicion. Riot looked into it and said it looks like its a VPN so they held up the results of the match? I just want to make sure I understand the situation correctly.

LJL, RiotJP, some of the companies involved in the Japan of the PRO scene has given the distrust us . What LoL is able to succeed in Japan in such a state ? They will be an obstacle to the success of LoL. i strongly hope the direct investigation by the RiotNA.
