I'm somewhat shocked by how many different amount of picks went through first day

Trolosaurus9/30/2016, 10:35:03 PM19 votes

Are we gonna count Aurelion Sol since he TECHNICALLY got picked?

how much more interesting would it be if a team was not able to reuse specific Champs once they've been used on their team only?

as a nami player, now im scared Nami might receive nerfs

edit: im glad nami is doing terribly recently, now less likely to see nerfs

I don't feel comfortable seeing nami being played so much at worlds... please leave nami alone. Landing the bubble can be hard as shit especially with all these champions with dashes and blinks.. pls don't nerf.

Legit question because I only vaguely follow these things but do have a strong background in mathematics (Electrical Engineer). How many games have been played at worlds so far? I'm sure I can find this somewhere fairly easily but I'm guessing one of you knows off the top of your head ha.

Edit 1: I assume 12 games since there are 12 different iterations in each lane from OP? This at first glance seems like a large champion variation for only 12 games of play, no?

Edit 2: Especially when you take into account that there is also a very limited player base playing in these games. I imagine it would be fair to assume they are very skilled with a few specific champions each? My point is there are several variables in this data set that make the output data non random and champion strength is not the only variable here.

I think we would see a much larger variation in champions if we selected our player base to compete randomly, increased it's size, and then had an extended tournament of several hundred games isolating the best players in our random population. Then, seeing the last 30/50 games of that tournament I imagine would provide a much more accurate data set in terms of the number of viable champions. Just my hypothesis though.

Thanks for letting people who don't watch worlds know the actual champion diversity. I don't watch it but it made me curious to know who play who. It also explain the explosion of Rumble play lately.

Good part: this is probably the highest spread we've had.

Bad part: this is already the max spread we'll witness in this world championship.

Edit: Also Rumble OP

Honestly after seeing this thread all the other complaining threads about only seeing certain champs in whatever role in worlds seem to have lost their validity.

Nice job so far by the way.

Support Karma and Mid Karma are actually the exact same champion, so it's actually 39/132 played

Poor Jhin... Is op on paper only

TBakes10/2/2016, 4:27:56 PM1 votes

I want to see some assassins locked in: Leblanc Zed Talon Akali

Loved seeing Peanut play Nocturne with Smeb's Kennen. That game was legit.

Ezreal has been fun to watch, too, but I wish pros could use lesser played ADCs like Vayne Quinn MissFortune KogMaw Kalista
