Why do pros think Teemo is only an AA based champ with Frozen Mallet and Runaan's Hurricane?

In a game where opponents take full advantages of every weakness, why go for the slow, no power spike, and honestly questionable build path for these Teemos? They need to learn to take advantage of his AP ratios and the DOT on his E and R. Teemo is not a late scaling champion to the level of many others. But he has great early game harass 1v1 and good zoning with his Q and R.

You have a movement speed buff, and frankly, dont scale with any of teemo's abilities at all. For these to be effective, you need to be alive. Which if building these items, you won't be for most if not all of the fights.

Only certain champs can pull off a first item and Teemo is not one of them.

His Q scales: 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+ 80% AP), His E scales: D.O.T: 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 (+ 10% AP) each second, on-hit: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+ 30% AP), His R scales: D.O.T: 50 / 81.25 / 112.5 (+ 12.5% AP) each second

I don't see any AD, Crit, or Health scaling here. Also, if you were not aware, apples for D.O.T's too. While not as great (20% for 1 second on / 30% for 1.5 seconds for range with ) it still is a slow. But now it has some power behind it too where {{item:3022} 40 AD is not doing a whole lot. Health wise, 650 health on {{item:3022}, but 700 health when you have and and they have stats you scale with.

Waveclear is never an issue with Teemo. 1 or 2 shrooms with an AP build are more than enough to destroy a minion wave. I would argue it is faster than if placed right.

Anyways, I doubt we will see another Teemo anytime soon, but let's hope they drop the current build they think is right for him, because it really is not.
