So, is NA > EU or is EU > NA based off of this worlds?

It is honestly hard to tell IMO. Sure EU got farther, but they didnt have to face a Korean team in the group stage with H2K, and the Korean teams got first in all 3 groups, all 3 held semi final spots and Korea now holds both final spots too. EU technically won more games (10/25 vs 9/21 for NA, this is all games played from both stages), but again they played more games and 2 of their teams only had 1 win. Every NA team placed higher than 2/3 EU teams, but H2K placed higher than any NA team. H2k faced Albus Nox Luna in the quarter finals, a team who has never been there before (players maybe but as this team no), while NA faced SSG, a team who may win worlds and has only dropped just 1 game overall (to TSM no less). So who was/is better this year?

At this point who gives a s$it anymore.
Yes Eu H2K faced Albus a team that 2-0 CLG but still a much weaker team than say SSG-SKT-ROX. H2K got 3-0 same as C9 by SSG but the games were much closer in the H2K vs SSG series that's for sure.
Yes NA was much better than EU, Yes Eu made it further than NA did this year and also in years past as well as NA has never made it to Semi-Finals without getting a free bye past Group stage like in S1 and 2. NA and EU can talk about who is better till the sun comes up but at the end of the day both regions are complete garbage.

NA needs to at least show up at least once; NA is the only region other than the IWC region to not make an appearance in a Worlds Finals. LCK has that's for sure, the LPL has with RNG, LMS has with TPA, EU has with Fnatic.

I do agree that the EU vs NA thing is just for fun and no hard feelings but after a while it starts to get old.

h2k had an easy going. but both were terrible

NA=EU .both equally shitty. nobody did anything impressive. there were no "highlight plays".

True however generally teams are getting closer in competing gaps, for example while the first two games Samsung won the war H2K won the battles - Samsung just had strat sieges set up wp to them.

TSM regardless of being elimated early I think by them assuming they where our after week one (as in out of groups into qauters) looked rather good they really did, always put up a fight in fact came close so many times thy are better than any EU team in worlds this year regardless of our semi final progression

Wonder? There is no wondering. Players said themselves. They get more money in NA. Just look at huni and reignover. In FNC they were gods. They dominated EU scene, got to semifinals on worlds. But NA offered them more money so now they are in less successfull region but they get paid better

I see I've been downvoted. But, in game, I have seen them. They usually feed hard and flame harder, while describing how good they are because they are silver in EUW. I'm not making this stuff up.

C9 and TSM had really tough match ups to play against.

I would say H2K is probably one of the weaker teams not just because they didn't perform well against SSG but how it really went down, by the third match you could easily tell that H2K was crushed mentally and were unable to adapt to Samsung's playstyle so virtually had no chance of overcoming them. When the ball was easily in H2K's court at the start of a game they fumbled considerably chasing down kills but with almost nothing to show for it which is something ANX succeeded at when they were pit against the Rox tigers.

Manchester city won 1 out of the last 8 direct encounters against Liverpool, but they ended up higher in the premier league for the last 4 years. Head to Head matches don't mean anything.

Neither does RR, unless you're willing to say that China is better than Korea.

Region wise EU's Bronze is NA's silver, EU's Diamond is NA's Masters. Easy.

LCS, EU still dominates NA LCS.

2017 MSI, NA couldn't even make it past group stages while EU made it to finals and finalised themselves as the 2nd best region, while NA considered the level on WC. Even in World 16, 2 EU teams were knocked out 1 remaining yet that one team was able to get to semi's while all NA teams were knocked out in groups.

Well let's look at head to head.

NAsummer winnner >EU last chance qualifier 2-0. NA points qualifier>EUSummer Winner 2-0 NA 4 EU Zero. NA>>>>EU.

NA last chance qualifier did not play EU points qualifier Both played the same common opponent and both got swept 3-0.
So there's no real difference there. The only reason H2k got further than C9 is the former got the cushy draw.

NA and EU are pretty much dead even in terms of talent. Maybe a slight edge to NA only because EU was missing some talent (that I'm sure will be filled before next year).

To be honest, a couple of years down the line, no one is going to look at the schedule, they'll just remember that EU made it to semis while NA didn't.

which is too bad because NA managed to take 2 games off of the korean teams and EU didnt win any against the korean teams. Also NA won 4-0 in the head to head (NA v. EU)

Yep, the year which EU was bad and NA was actually decent will still be remembered as EU advancing farther than NA. Also, don't expect EU to be this bad next year.
