Predictions for Worlds group Stage Day 1 - Discuss

G2 win vs CLG This one is a pretty wild guess. From what I've been hearing and seeing, G2 is on point, but their last international performance made them choke out really hard. That aside, I think they will provide, and CLG just might get shaken off. Who knows.

ROX win vs NOX Do I really need to go into details on this one? If Albus NoX Luna pull a win vs Rox Tigers, its literally Divine intervention.

AHQ win vs H2K Though I think H2K is ''ok'', I doubt they'll stand a chance here. Though its a shot in the dark for me since I don't watch EU LCS, though I read up alot on how every region goes.

EDG win vs INT Another obvious one here. EDG being so stable through the years in performance and delivery, I doubt an wildcard team stands a chance. And that is not bashing on Wildcard teams. They are no doubt a good team, just not up to par with such a strong opponent.

SSG win vs SPY Splyce will lose. But they are the weakest 3rd seed at worlds this year, and I think thats that. I dare believe its popular belief that they might pull a maximum of 2 wins in group stages at best.

RNG win vs TSM To be honest, I could be so wrong on so many levels here. I'm a TSM fan. always was. And I do think they will get out of group stage, but I'm calling an RNG win out of nowhere. We will see.

G2 should beat CLG unless CLG can out macro them and stay out of lane fights, and even then I'm not sure.

ROX will beat ANX, they're wild card vs Koreans, sorry IWC, but at least you can't do any worse.

H2K beats AHQ imo, H2K have Godgiven and Jankos to carry the team while AHQ really only has Maple. Karsa is good, but I don't think he can carry yet.

EDG beats INZ. Again Sorry IWC, but you can't do any worse throughout the tournament.

SSG beats SPY. SPY shouldn't be at Worlds imo, EU basically lost all their teams and SPY came out the strongest of the weak.

TSM should beat RNG as long as they get Bjergsen and Hauntzer ahead without losing DL and Bio. MLXG will basically ignore top side for the most part, so DL and Bio just need to play safe for the most part. RNG does have stars in Uzi, Mata, and Looper, but I think the fact that they dedicate so much bot side is hurting them, if they've fixed this already, then I think TSM will have a much harder time and could lose to them.

G2 vs CLG If CLG wins the first game at Worlds then I think CLG will be the 2nd team to make it out of their group and vice versa for G2. Which ever team wins in the first game at Worlds will advance. However I'm picking CLG. WINNER COUNTER LOGIC GAMING 36.42

ROX vs ALB WINNERS ROX TIGERS 27.48

AHQ vs H2K A very close match-up but I think AHQ is at their weakest and Westdoor needs to carry "again" to make AHQ viable. WINNERS H2K 34.19

EDG vs INT WINNERS EDWARD GAMING 24.55

SSG vs SPL 2 different styles from what I'v seen so far. SSG likes to play a very quick and fast playstyle at the start of games which can get them in some bad situations early that will lose them games. Once they get behind early it's over at that point.
While SPY are more of a late game team and their teamfight is much better in my opinion. However Koreans own LOL so WINNERS SAMSUNG GALAXY. 35.36

RNG vs TSM Very interesting match-up with Mata-UZI-Looper vs BJergsen-Doublelift-Biofrost etc great an ALL-STAR game however I think TSM are better at rotations and moving around the map while RNG are using a 2013 team plan by letting UZI farm for 5 years before he does anything. WINNERS TEAM SOLOMID 37.38
