TSM had the potential....
TSM looked really promising during champ select with the champions they chose, however they did not pick ideal champs for the match-up. 3 melee champs, Vayne who is short range, and LB who does her most damage against squishy champions but needs to be close for her w to damage which makes her not a range damage based champion. When first pick was Darius, they should have gone with a bit more range/escape/cc in their kit. Elise was a great choice and Olaf was decent too. Even Braum was great. But LB was a mistake and Vayne was 50/50. I like LB on Bjergsen, but burst AP champions with limited cc are not great for the meta unless the either scale like crazy or get ahead really early. Vayne is a good choice when you have a team with a lot of peal/ cc. And maybe (imo) ban Darius and risk the thresh since he can be deleted by LB where Darius cant, easily at least (seriously he has a 90%+ ban rate for a reason).
However, they looked lie they fixed all their mistakes/faults form summer, except for the key fact that positioning and awareness is important. Dyrus did not have to die in those 2 early fights. He had the chance to leave. Also turtle and Lustboy (although not as much) still got caught out when it possibly could have been avoided.
All in All TSM looks stronger, but are still lacking in crucial areas that are easily exploited. I am glad they realized how passive they were in summer and tried to fix that. That is great. But they need to be more attentive/ cautious when they know that the enemy is coming. If that gets fixed then they could actually preform well. The early game was great for them (minus the Dyrus kills). But kills = easier wins, especially when accompanied by 2-3 assists.
TSM could have potentially won, but they beat themselves, and KT Rolster took full advantage of it.
