For all the salty kids crying about SKT winning worlds again..

They won worlds because they are the best team in the world. Simple as that. Don't like that fact? Either get good enough to beat them at worlds or find a way to make your professional players better.

I support SKT, because I've got that Korean blood + Korean pride. If you're either an American or a European, then you shouldn't cry that the Asians always win worlds; the thing you should be doing is using this as a motivator to do better/try to get the professionals representing you to do better. If you deserve to win worlds, you'll win it (just like if you deserve a certain rank then you'll be able to get into it). Simple as that.

I've been teasing both NA and EU about them not being as good as Asia, which is true (except Japan, but they're new to the competitive scene), but I seriously do want to see an NA or EU team at least make it to finals (I don't count Season 1, as no Asian teams were playing back then). So stop the rivalry amongst each other and team up to take down the juggernauts that are Asian teams. I am sure, as brothers in arms, NA and EU can work to get either one or the other to the finals next year; it just takes cooperation.

It should no longer be NA vs EU, with Asia being above the two in rivalry, but rather East vs. West. Become the underdogs together.

I'll still be rooting for Asian teams, so I'll still be your natural enemy when it comes to fans of regions (the only western team I actually root for is C9), but I am sure this upcoming season will be a lot more fun if the rivalry shifts more towards East vs. West rather than what it currently is (NA vs EU, where both are about equally skilled but none of the fans will ever agree on that).

EvW.

NA and EU have been at each other for a long time. NA was better in spring. EU was better in summer. That much is certain.

The only thing I care about at this point is seeing the fall of the East. China completely shit the bed this year, but I get the feeling that's something that will be corrected by Season 6 Playoffs.

  1. I can't in good faith support the idea of East VS. West. The moment people put too much emphasis on Race is the moment sportsmanship becomes, well ... Bronze-tier. Actual Sports bring out the arse-hole in countless people, I'd rather not e-Sports suffer the same if it can be helped.

It's not about Skt. Though, many people think teams like a president should retire after winning worlds. Riot too I think should encourage that, or at the very least disband.

Now, as far as Korea is concerned, they have the benefit of having a culture that welcomes gamers as its a much more viable life choice, almost, if not, a career choice. I don't think they have talent, I don't think they have the genes for it, it's just a cultural thing. With that said, it's not just in gaming, it's anything competitive. I hate seeing one specific region win every time, i.e. Kenya in track and field.

Korea in this case has the benefit that other regions do not. Most the benefit of over analyzing games, ability to find talent because it's welcomed. China theoretically would have the best talent, but their culture, and region in general doesn't accept it as well. Hence they, out source it from Korea as we can tell from their current line up. This is why monte was sand box mode and has repeatedly stated that it's to help not players but top end tear. And do you know what that does? Don't ask, go look at championship games from sc2, games end in 5 minutes to due to surrenders.

So I don't care that skt has won. I care more about seeing certain regions get no support by riot. Its okay, unless another ssw team forms, we will be back here again with Skt winning, with the same problem. Lack of competition and diversity.

Welp. Can't say I didn't try to be cooperative and pleasant.

This isn't about race. Why do you think eu and Na are at each other's throats unless it's vs Asian countries? It's not race, it's nationality and culture.
