Lets talk about day 1 of week 2, and the possible outcome

Ok so, week 2 starts today,

With group A (CLG, ANX, ROX and G2) starting off.

I am fairly certain Rox Tigers are winning this one out. They won't let G2 get that win, CLG is really good and might be the one to steal it, and Albus looks good enough to be a threat to CLG's second spot. Only thing that matters at this point for Albus is if they can react to an adapted strategy from CLG. My predictions for this group are:

ROX - 4-2 CLG - 4-2 ANX - 3-3 G2 - 1-5

Yeah, I still think it's gonna be 50-50 between ANX and clg for that final spot. While CLG may "seem" good, history combined with the fact that 1-2 bans are going to almost assuredly be taken by brand/anivia make me think that they will definitely beat g2 and could upset rox.

It helps CLG and ALB that G2 are facing Rox in the first game of the day to extend the standings for both CLG and ALB.
ROX(3-1) beats G2(0-4) I however do see G2 playing much better in this game than in previous games so far at Worlds and would not be surprised if they beat Rox.

ALB vs CLG. Honestly who ever wins this game will more likely advance with the expected loss from G2 and history of CLG winning against IWC teams are not on their side. I'm expecting CLG to win but history is history. ALB(2-2) CLG(3-1)

CLG vs G2. I don't see G2 going 0-6 in the groups. CLG(3-2) G2(1-4)

ALB vs ROX. Rox "should" be able to get an easy win. ALB(2-3) ROX(4-1)

G2 vs ALB. EU teams typically gets it together for the second half of groups and I see G2 getting a win easily. G2(2-4) ALB(2-4)

CLG vs ROX. Rox just has to ban either Sol,Alistar or Caitlyn or all 3 and Rox should be able to win the game just under 28 mins. CLG(3-3) ROX(5-1)

The only thing I disagree with is ANX going 0-3. Well...and ROX going 3-0.

If G2 gets a win, it's early and against ROX. Again, against ROX, G2 were stomping and lost because of their decision to stay on Baron instead of switching to and eliminating the enemy jungler and making the baron a 50/50 instead of a guaranteed secure. ROX did not look anywhere near to being a dominate team last week. So unless something drastically changes, which can, they are not a shoo-in for getting out of the group stage.

Yeah Albus are no joke that is pretty clear and they can still get a win...........MAYBE two but I doubt it.
Rox will get their s$it together and out rotate Albus. CLG will most likely lose to Alb oppose to Rox and G2 but CLG will most likely be in a 40 min game with lots of kills in the game. I'm expecting 26-27 total kills combined in the CLG and Albus game. G2 will most likely camp for Perkz and get him 20-0 so he doesn't get destroyed in lane like he has been.

G2 was 0-1 when they faced ROX and while they still had hope to making it out of groups I think their tilted now that their 0-3 and will not perform to their #1 EU seed that people expected from them.

ROX TIgers for being the #1 LCK team and before Worlds the #1 Team in the World they don't look that great to be honest, however I still see them going 3-0.

I can see why you think G2 would beat ALB, but after losing their first game of the day and sealiong their fate in groups, I think their moral just dropped down to -10. Don't think they will make much of their remaining games.

Yeah honestly G2 did NOT look good at all that game and Trick tried to get all of his lanes ahead and really that sealed the ROX victory cause realistically you can't get 3 lanes ahead in the Pro scene it just doesn't work like that and same thing in solo Q.
Trick helped get a kill on a champion that will Scale either way into a Monster late game and the pay off was getting 3 buffed by the Rox Tigers.
Long story short he wasted so much time trying to get his lanes ahead.

IDK I still see G2 beating Albus. It has nothing to do with the "meme of IWC being garbage and losing" etc etc NO but I think the pressure of performing or "lack of" from G2 will give the players more of a relaxed game and they will get a win beating ANX and maybe eliminating them? Who knows.

I don't think ROX is as sure a pick as you make it seem. They could easily be sitting at 1-2, and quite possibly 0-3. (G2 dominated them before a crazy Baron steal, which shouldn't have happened if they just focused the jungler of ROX for like 3 seconds, and ANX dominated them early game before losing, and that wasn't a fluke from ANX as we saw from their next 2 games). I honestly can see G2 showing back up and winning 2-3 matches. CLG...ANX...both can win or lose any game.

Predictions: ANX 4-2 ROX 3-3 G2 3-3 CLG 2-4

G2 beats ANX, CLG, ROX ANX beats CLG, ROX ROX beats CLG

And if it doesn't turn out like that, then I think this is the group that has the best chance at having a 4 way tie, (same as above except ANX loses to CLG), or at the very least a 3 way tie between ANX, ROX, & CLG. This group doesn't have a clear cut 1&2 seed and tiebreakers will definitely have to be played.

I should have clarified, I meant about ANX coming in first before ROX in second. I can't see it happening, but I wouldn't be so surprised if ANX made it in 2nd.

HA! It looks like I only had to much faith in G2 in actually pulling their shit together and making a run at something. They fell apart against ROX very quickly and it didn't get any better for them against CLG.

But yeah, ANX looked so strong and honestly could have gone 3-0, and they earned my respect. They showed the type of skill and understanding of this game that any other LCS team has, but they have something that takes the other teams by surprise, and that's BALLS. I'm so on the ANX hype train, depending on who they draw, they might actually have a solid chance at getting out of quarterfinals as well.

I just couldn't believe how clean they play their comp vs CLG. These bard ulties into collapses were butt clenching. Likkrit is legit the best support in that group. Give him a bard and he will lay a steaming shit on you.

After seeing ROX in the first week, i'm still trying to understand all the hype for them coming into worlds. They weren't dominant enough for such a hyped team IMO.

If i had to take a wild guess (at this point, with this year worlds, you can't do anything else than a wild guess anyway lol) i would say :

1-CLG 5-1 2- ANX (Why not?) 4-2 3-ROX 3-3 4-G2 0-6

The Rox early game is, well... BAD. However, they pull their shit mid game and pull back. CLG has been doing well for the most part, except a few slips.

G2, won't get a win. They don't know how to close out a game, or they just get stomped the beginning of the game.

ANX won't get, Brand and Anivia. So right there are their 2 best picks. So I don't think they will get out.

Except they only got those 2 picks for their last game. Meaning, the other game they won, they did so without Brand or Anivia, and the game they came out and started stomping ROX before they lost, they didn't have Brand or Anivia. ANX has shown they are NOT a 1 trick pony. Counting ANX based on the not getting Brand or Anivia is honestly dumb.

ANX has as good a chance or better to get out of groups as CLG and ROX.
