Honestly.....all props to Lyon.

This new play in stage we have is to test the emerging regions. You have to be able to fight, and compete with at least the third place seeds in the major regions.

And Lyon sure as hell did that. I don't blame them for game 3. Cloud 9, admittedly, has been in MANY situations like game 2. Their experience in those situations is most likely higher than any other team here at worlds.

So, being able to bounce back from a game like that.......yeah, it's no easy task.

Lyon, keep doing what you're doing, keep working on that play, and I can almost guarantee that you will be a force to be reckoned with at worlds at some point.

I wanted C9 to win because they're my team, but I really wish Lyon could have gone on too. They're a pretty damn good team, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make it next year. The new play-ins are pretty fun to watch, we're already guaranteed an upset since HKA and Fnatic have to play each other.

I'm just sad they went against C9, I wanted both teams to make it out.

I think Lyon had a bit of bad luck as well in the match up... C9 is just a good team at running the gauntlet for a few years now. They almost got game 2, but that just shows you what happens when you can't close out a game.

The shot callers also mentioned the next step for Lyon. Lyon a team built around strong members, while C9 is a good team-fighting team. To get to the highest levels you need people who are both strong individually and as part of a group.

I wish they had a different groupstage altogether. I was routing for them before they even played game1 (based on regional hype victories), and their games vs WE just made me want them to have a shot more. Granted, they did have their shot. =\ they just fell short this time. I hope they do continue to practice, hopefully they learned a lot and can dominate their region even harder until they come back.

Lyon nearly gave me a heart attack in game 2. If they had won it, I wasn't sure C9 would have won the series. That was a heck of a performance by Lyon. Look forward to seeing them play again.

Tough luck for Lyon being against top 2 strongest teams in both stages of play in

Yeah a pretty decent showing by Lyon all around. They weren't the most flashy team by any means but they have the knowledge and making of a good team.
