Day 5: Group B

Long Zhu: 6-0 Immortals: 4-2 Fnatic: 1-5 GAM: 1-5

Group B is smooth sailing for Long Zhu, and with how good they've been playing, I highly doubt they'll even drop a game next week. Immortals have been doing ok, and thanks to how both Fnatic and GAM are performing, I think its safe to say they have a firm grasp on second place. As for Fnatic, I think people are catching on to GAM's silly antics, considering the Sion ban from Immortals today. Because of that, I think Fnatic won't fall for the same tricks again. I don't think there will be a tie breaker between the 2 though, since neither will move on to groups.

Day 6: Group C

RNG: 6-1 SSG: 5-2 G2: 2-4 FB: 0-6

Despite RNG manhandling SSG yesterday, I wouldn't count SSG out just yet. I do think if they pull it together that can take a game off of RNG, and force a tie breaker, which RNG will come back with a vengeance, and take first seed. G2, even though I have them set at 2-4, does have the potential to shake things up. I can see them taking a game off of SSG and denying the tie breaker. As for them getting out groups, sorry EU, but I don't think it'll happen. As for FB, they're play in performance was awesome, but they just don't stand a chance here.

Day 7: Group D

Misfits: 5-1 WE: 4-2 TSM: 3-3 FW: 0-6

EDIT: Dr. Poro pointed out that my predicition on group D simply cannot happen, because it would require both Misfits and WE to go 3-0.....which is impossible since they face each other once. This means that if both of them win their other games, whoever wins that match takes first place, and there will be no tie breaker.

Now here's something I didn't expect I'd be doing, but I think Misfits found something. Sure, they got utterly destroyed by WE, but then they utterly destroy FW, then go on to play TSM like a fiddle. I'm thinking they could definitely force WE into a tie breaker, and actually take it for first seed. Yes, that is a ton a faith to put into them, but I honestly think they found something, and are taking full advantage of it.

And yes, I do have TSM not making it out of groups. Sorry, but I think we're just seeing a repeat of every other worlds they've been to. They are going to crash and burn, and disappoint everyone again. Just watch.

Day 8: Group A

SKT: 6-1 C9: 5-2 AHQ: 2-4 EDG: 0-6

Now, if you thought my TSM prediction was bold, what do you think of me thinking C9 will take a game off of SKT? Despite SKT being 3-0, and coming back from an ELEVEN THOUSAND gold deficit after just 1 teamfight, we have seen that they are vulnerable. Both AHQ and EDG exposed weaknesses that I think C9 could take advantage of. In fact, had C9 not pulled the short straw in playing SKT first, I think it may have been very possible that C9 would be sitting at 3-0 instead of SKT.

But, this is SKT we're talking about. C9 will force a tie breaker, but SKT will take the first seed. They have a habit of leaving a trail of devastation behind when they get pissed off, and, considering Faker's interviews, I don't think anything will piss them off more than losing to Impact, their former top laner.

As for EDG, well.......I think they're done. The SKT game was simply too much of a blow, and I find it difficult they could come back after going 0-3. But, if there is any team at worlds that can prove me wrong, it is EDG.

C9 will choke as much as TSM, do you think this is the first year or endless year when someone over hypes TSM or C9 and ends up disappointed ? Sounds like every year to me, im actually fan of TSM because i been following Bjergsen since he started, but i am just saying how it is.

Later interviews with NA teams be like ''we never actually had a chance to win so we just played''. There is something wrong in the core of attitude when teams doesn't go in to win the whole worlds, so predicting worlds is not even that hard since koreans showed up.

F Fnatic ruining my group pick'ems. It was my fault for wanting NA to fail, but yea Fnatic needs to step it up, but it is probably too late.

I always had SSG at number 2. They just are not good in Bo1. But they are good enough to come out in the clutch when they need it.

Otherwise, Group D will be interesting since my pick can be right or wrong still. I placed Misfits 2nd. (Again wanting NA(note TSM) to fail). I am glad that is still a possibility, plus at least one EU in the group8 would be cool, especially if it is the one everyone has trash talked since day 1. But honestly, groupD can go either way. It is based on who gets ahead or who throws.

NA will go 0/10 including a tiebreaker again.

Bold predictions

I believe TSM and WE will get out. Mostly because Misfits just don't have an answer for any lane. They all lose in terms of laning but are held together because Sven is not good anymore

I think SKT and C9 will get out. C9 only has to win one game vs AHQ and I think they can.

LZG and IMT will get out. FNC trying too hard to put everything into rekkless, even in an ADC meta. He is good but he can't work miracles

RNG and SSG will also get out

You think Misfits gonna go 3-0 (or 4-0 based on your tie-breaker assumption) in week 2... Good luck with that.

Commenting mostly about EU teams.

Fnatic is highly unlikely to make it out. The desperately needed at least one win in first week. But they did not get it and the loss against IMT tilted them hard. Rekkles singlehandedly carried and then lost that game.

And you could easily see the resulting tilt in their next game. Yes, LZ caught them by surprise with the Nasus pick (like GMB did with Nocturne pick), but Fnatic also seemed lost as well. They basically nothing at all against LZ. They tried one play, but bu that time the game was already lost.

Fnatic's morale is broken and even if they recuperate, then they still would not be able to beat LZ. Honestly, Fnatic might even go 0-3. A huge disappointment.

G2 is... well G2. They look really good against weaker teams and like garbage against equal or better teams.

Just look at the last game against RNG, what were these random baron calls? Yes the first one worked out, but they did not do nearly enough with it. The second Baron was what G2 usually does, they do not know what to do and they eventually make a terrible call that loses the game.

Their games will most likely be a repeat of week 1. They might even lose to FN if the games before go terribly.

Misfits might actually make it Misfits was for sure the biggest surprise for me. Their two wins looked solid and they might rival even WE if they keep their performance up.

They will most likely win against FW (tho i would not count FW out yet). They will probably lose to WE. Their game against TSM will be the deciding one. If they manage to beat TSM then they will most likely get 2nd place in the group.

I'd say Misfits is likely to get out, but it will be a close call between them and TSM.

Misfits and WE can't both go 3-0.

I'm not an expert speculant but I'm pretty sure your group D predictions are wrong. Not only do I not have as much faith in Misfits' consistency, but your prediction also requires both Misfits and WE to go 3-0 next week, which is impossible according to my current knowledge of mathematics as they'll have to face eachother.
