Riot, can I get your opinion on this whole LMQ arguement.

Here is my stance on the issue.

It is called Worlds for a reason. The best team from each region goes to compete in a championship to see which country has the best team in the world. Having a team from one region compete in a different region because they cannot make it to Worlds in their own region is exploiting the system. What is the point of having regional championships if you don't even have to be a from that region to compete?

This has nothing to due with race. It is called NA LCS because it should be between NA teams. If any team from any region can compete then drop NA from the name. There is no point to it anymore. I do not care that LMQ is Chinese. I do not give a damn about race. I am frustrated because you allowed a team to exploit the system. LMQ knew they would not make it to Worlds if they competed in their own region so they competed in a region that they felt confident that they could win in. Worlds is a competition to see the best teams from each region compete to see who is the best in the world. The issue here is that a team from a different region completely nullified the entire point of the NA LCS championship. A NA team didn't win so NA will not be represented at Worlds. Instead, China will have two teams representing them at Worlds.

The issue is not is LMQ better than the NA teams. It is that a NA team should represent NA. Even if they lose in Worlds they lost as the best team from NA. It is like sending a NFL team to compete against High school teams because they will not win in the NFL. Of course the NFL team will win against the High school teams but that isn't what people want to see. They want to see the High school teams compete in High school and the NFL team in the NFL.

We want to see the best team from each region represent that region. We don't want to see teams competing in any region so they have the best shot of going to Worlds. I don't want to see Korea sending a team to each region to increase their odds of going to Worlds. I don't want to see NA send teams to different regions so that they have a better chance of getting teams to Worlds. I want to see a Korean team represent Korea. I want to see a Chinese team represent China. I want to see EUW represent EUW. I want to see a NA team represent NA. I want to see the Worlds championship not the "Which region can export the best teams" championship.

I'm gonna say the same thing I did on another post similar to this one.

American sports are full of racially diverse teams. In very few cases are there foreigners that barely speak any english, but it's because the scene in others sports is larger. Sports, including esports, will bring people from all over the world onto the team, that's just how it works. That soccer player from the spanish world cup team is coming into the MLS next year, it's very similar to what's happening here.

It might not be in your best interest, but esports is a sport and America's allure draws people from all over into our country, thus wanting to be included in our sports. That's just how it goes.
