I started watching the Worlds games last week. 2 things that I noticed that I just don't understand. Can someone please explain them to me.

  1. Gangplank - Why is this guy banned every game? I know he was reworked but in all the games ive played since his rework, I hardly even see him used. And the few games I have seen him in I can't recall him being such a factor that he is banned every game at worlds.

  2. What is the purpose of letting the other team just have your 1st turret bot or top lane with no resistance? Ive seen a few games where the tower is gone in the 1st 5 to 7 minutes and the other team doesn't even try to defend it. Its like they would rather run around clearing jungle camps early on than having a tower up.

1: Barrels do shit tons of damage.

2: Both teams should be getting each other's towers. If they're just clearing jungle instead of getting the tower, that's a bad play. The theory behind it is that, with 4 members on one side, you either get the turret, or get to dive and kill someone who comes to defend it. For the other team, you either trade towers and get equal gold, or try to defend and probably die.
