Nope. A single Cleanse or Ignite wouldn't do anywhere near enough against the burst Rek'sai, Syndra, and Pyke had in team fights. All of SKT's CC in their comp also takes a couple seconds to trigger. They gave up burst and CC advantages, had WAY too squishy of a comp, and had no good tools to recover from disadvantageous fights. As soon as the draft ended and G2 got a lead, it was over.

I don't think any pro can solo carry a team from behind in the current meta. I could be wrong, but I doubt I am.

Not getting TP on LB means completely different playstyle though you get that right? You can't play splitpushing LB without TP, if you don't pick it you have to only play for picks and snowball
