Too much of this worlds was ruined by the patch updates

2015 Season World Championship/Match History

Blue side advantage, red side forced to perma ban 2 champions in almost all of the games, Known broken champions, no games went to 5 and only a few to 4 because of balancing issues created by the blue side advantage. Just remember, blue side won 66% of the time, which means that mathematically red won 33% of the time which means that the starting blue side team won 3 games in a row (statistically).

Nah

What ruined this world as always is players learning what is strong and weak. Group stages was fun because teams did really figure out what was strong

We saw Darius a lot, thanks to specific strategies. Near the end, it was mostly fiora we saw. Teams just figured out what was strong and picks have become generalized

I don't know but I think Riot should have bit the bullet, and disabled GP and Morde. They were not integral to any team's strategy, and were only picked/ban for being massively OP.

Eh,it's simple.Next year, there should be no major amount of changes or additions within 5 patches of Worlds. It's pretty clear their 2 patches of "balancing" after 5.16 wasn't enough to balance GP (which came with 5.14),Fiora (5.15),Juggernauts (5.16).Plus there was all the overbuffing of the Kench (5.13).So in the 4 patches before the Worlds patch,we had 6 reworks & a new champ. Most of which (besides Garen & Skarner ) had a strong impact on the Worlds meta. Next year, they should calm down on the amount of changes in the patches leading up to Worlds.Maybe 1 or 2 reworks (depending on the sizes) or 1 new champ.Though, they shouldn't calm down with the changes too much or else the patches will be boring & full of nothing for months (we got to also think about the rest of the player base).
