He are the current standings (SKT game is starting as I write this)
This is the worlds I'm the most excited about. NA is showing up, and the IWC are actually very, very good.
NA is currently 5 - 3 on 3 teams ** EU is currently 1 -8 on 3 teams LCK is currently 6 - 2 on 3 teams** LPL is currently 5 - 3 on 3 teams LMS is currently 2 - 3 on 2 teams IWC is currently 3 - 3 on** 2 teams**
Obviously, day 4 is still not over, so nothing is set in stone yet, but once the day is over we can get a pretty good look at how the pace will be set for the second phase of group stage, in which each team plays their 3 remaining matches on the same day. That can open up on tilt factors for already struggling teams. I'm putting my money down on an IWC team making it out. They are so impressive this year.
I'm not sure what to think of EU currently. It must feel very frustrating for the fans in Europe. I think its fair t say Splyce was predictable, and I did myself bet against G2 because they pretty much left that impression on me from MSI (they choke out on the international scene). But H2K was a decent prospect. Hoping to see them bounce back during the last 4 days of group. It would be awk to not have an EU team past groups.
NA and LPL are looking smooth, but somewhat inconsistent. Feels like they are losing their cool under pressure and make very stupid mistakes. I'm seeing TSM and CLG make it out, I wish C9 would, but they need to pull Jensen back down to earth. ''can't wait to clap faker''. Sit down bitch, do your homework and win 3 games. RNG is a contender, obviously. And EDG is coming out of Group C without any doubt.
Can't say much about the LMS, I did not watch half their games, but from what i'm seeing, FW is struggling to pull a win, and AHQ looks fine.
As for LCK, well, the usual. You can hit them hard all you want in the early game, it doesn't really mean much because they seem to be gods of picking out on the slighest positioning mistakes to turn games around. So, I would not be surprised to see all 3 LCK teams come out of groups, but group D is going to be a butt clenching one for sure with TSM and RNG blocking SSG's path. I really only depends on whether or not Splyce can steal a single win from any of them.
