Coordination tremendously improved. So I have to ask, is it just that Meteos needs to stay away from Lee or is it that Jensen and Smoothie just played so amazing that it didn't matter? the Syndra/Alistar control was impeccable.
But also... did I see that correctly? Guinsoo's Rageblade Jhin ? uhhh....?
FW have a much better early game.
Communication was also the difference in play between the games of C9 vs FW and C9 vs IMAY. IMAY needs to work as the team their 50/50 in foreign players half Korean and half Chinese. Similar to RNG but unlike RNG, IMAY just doesn't have the as talented players such as Mata and UZI.
Flash Wolves while a good early game team their more for around the 40 min grinding their opponents down type of games, same for IMAY as their last 20 games outside of Worlds 9 of the 20 have been 42+ mins per game.
Honestly I think it's the champions that the NA teams are picking. Why trade in lane and cs when you can either
A. 
be a massive tank that can easily farm but at the same time do massive amounts of dmg at level 2/3.
Or
B. 
point and click 1100 dmg ults/ 2 ability combos.
Team comp is the biggest and really only difference worth talking about.
