Except SSB have beat SSW multiple times in best of 5s before. They could have easily beat them in a rematch.
Its not like its unheard of to have someone lose in a double elimination tournament and then come back in the finals for a rematch and win agaisnt the person who originally dropped them to losers bracket. Its happened before it could have happened here.

They didn't even look like they COULD have won against SSW that series.
Ohforfsake1 votesConsidering that ssw stomped ssb once already, I don't really see this as a solution. Also in a double elimination the winning team will usually start with a 1 game advantage or something extra over the losing side, making the finals already very skewed.

SSB beat SSW 3-1 a couple of months ago.
Based on your logic it would have been impossible for SSW to win in semi finals, but guess what they did?
Just because SSB lost doesnt mean they couldnt have won in a rematch.
Feathermane1 votesAs the tournament progresses, the matches get worse, and the final is the culmination. I don't get how the finalist is the team to offer the LEAST resistance to SSW. The other teams must be kicking themselves for losing to the likes of Corn.
