Looking for Akali Tips

Hello! I'm very new to League of Legends, I've been playing roughly about a month. I'm currently level 20.

It took me a bit but I've found the champion that works best for me is Akali . I was wondering If any one had any good tips & tricks for this specific champion?

I also had a few questions of my own.

_- What lane does Akali work best in?

Do you recommend using Mejai's Soulstealer to start or going straight for the Hextech Gunblade?
I seem to only get in an average 40 - 45 minute game roughly 150 CS. Is this average or can it be improved?_

-mejals is only good if you dont die, but since you are noob, better dont get it.

-all lanes and even jungle, since she can sustain herself and farm rather safely. she isnt like the "best" in any lane, but flexible.

-average means terrible because the average league player is very bad, so do you want to look for average CS or good CS? basically you can say, 100 per 10 minutes, so 400 cs at 40 minutes. focourse that is when you stay in lane only and get every single CS, but 80 per 10 minues should be doable and also mandatory.

Okay. So like Mejai's is hit or miss I guess. I find it very, very easy to Mid-Lane and score the quick kill on most Enemy Mid-Laners besides Heimer.. I don't know what it is with him but he absolutely ruins me in Mid.

The reason I was really asking about CS is because I feel like I hit 50 - 60 CS from the start of the game and then every one wants a Gank over in there own lanes and it takes away from the CS. We land kills but I just feel like I'm never pulling enough CS.

well you can always think for every roam, you will lose 10 cs and if you get a kill which is 300 gold, its basically those 10 cs you missed plus a bit more gold but less exp, so if you get one or two kills every time you roam, you can add +10 CS to your creepscore so if you have like 6:0:3 and 120 cs by 20 minutes, thats about as much as you can get.

By the way, if you want to kill Heimerdinger? AP Nasus. Ruins his farm. :)

Honestly, I love AD Akali so I couldn't say. Put a Bloodthirster and Phantom Dancer on her, then all AP from there, and she becomes something of a burst damage bruiser. It'd also improve your CS, since her E is an area attack that scales pretty big with AD and has a very short cooldown.

As far as lane... She seems to be out of place at the moment. But I see her more top than mid lately.
