We gotta git gud. Nothing else to say. It's not Riot's fault. They don't go and balance the game to favor foreign teams. NA/EU are simply outclassed. All things considered though, NA is (so far) the second best region with a 9-9 record in group stages. KR in first place with 15-3

I heard everything about going - not going to Korea etc A.) The Ping. Yes training in good ping is AWESOME however if you're playing league with garbage ping which NA compared to Korea is what's the point of going to Korea for the ping? It's like training to get better on your physical health so for NA you have weights on but you can take them off in Korea ? Makes 0 sense with the ping issue. If you're a gOD at this game with garbage ping in NA going to Korea for much better ping won't do anything for you.

B.) Training with better talent in solo Q. This topic is 50/50 for me. On 1 hand YES the LCK-LPL solo Q talent is there! however it's not giving NA at least a profit in going. Each Year NA is doing worse and worse at Worlds at international stages etc it shows no profit or payoff. Yes C9 made it to QT Finals this year compared to last year where they were 3-4 and eliminated in Groups however they lost their first 2 games on the last day and needed another team to get them to QT Finals the hardwork wasn't paying off compared to another team GIVING them a free pass to QT Finals.

C.) Build NA FIRST. Stop going to different regions to train and just stay IN YOUR OWN REGION and work at the bottom up, not only will the competition rise so will other players/teams. IF not we will have the same 3 teams going to Worlds each year with 75% the same players on each of the following 3 teams.
TSM Reginald left TSM because not only was he the owner of TSM but he knew you wasn't helping the team same with the Oddone. What happened TSM got fresh blood in Amazing and Bjergsen "Fresh Blood" for the team and they performed amazing at Worlds 2014 compared to the last 2 years where they were eliminated in Groups.
Talent wins games, yes teamwork is great but if you're a garbage player (LCS standards) the team can camp for you, work around your weaknesses, etc but it won't make a difference in the end.
Do you think CLG or TSM or C9 will become Greater next year if they keep the same rosters? Maybe in NA but look when they replaced players on those teams. TSM- Yellowstar for Biofrost. Lost Finals/// Won Finals CLG-Doublelift for Stixxay. Was pure garbage in international games/// Was 2nd at MSI and was good at international games. C9- Replaced Meteos for Hai/// Rush for Meteos/// Overall each choice turned out to be better.

What I'm trying to say for Point C is stay in NA and train here. If a team goes on another IMT/TSM destruction paths like they have shown, 1-2 teams will not just "take it" and will contest them. P1 beat TSM when TSM at that point was undefeated how? with a strange strategy called ( not looking at Faker's match history or other Korean player's and just copying their champions played) and going with their own "meta" Origen did their own Meta and map strategy ( Final 4 at Worlds 2015) Fnatic did their own Meta and map strategy ( Final 4 at Worlds 2015) Gambit gaming AKA Moscow 5. did the same thing at they actually beat SSW in 2013 Worlds to eliminate them.

NA just wants to go the easy road and just pick what Korea is picking which will BIT NA in the A$$ EVERYTIME. NA can't beat Korea with strategies or Meta or champions with Korea's strategies when they wrote the book.

Overall and last thing, NA has the talent for NOW!
BJergsen- Doublelift- Aphromoo - Darshan their not getting any younger and the NA talent at the moment besides the same 3 teams in almost every Finals/Worlds SUCKS players like Big,Baby,Moon,Gate,Hard their nobodies. So if you think NA is bad this year(50/50 kinda just choked in groups) and maybe next year, just wait for the 2017-18 NA season when those players listed last are the main talent representing NA.

Agreed. The only problem is that if 2 out of 3 NA teams go to Korea the third has to go to have teams to scrim. Otherwise, the Korean teams probably share information with eachother about the NA team's strats and picks. Too much copying is being done by every other region because of the reputation that Korea has, in terms of them being "gods" and what-not, but we have seen that in order to fulfill many of our goals, we need to keep a lot of what we do as a region as a secret, and show up to worlds with an unexpected pool of champions; Similar to how aphromoo started bringing out the ranged supports like sona, nami or even soraka when they were stronger. NA has a chance to do better, but we just need to stop playing copycat and play our own game.

100% agreed. NA "NEEDS" to keep what they do a secret. " Give someone a taste of greatness and they will fight to be GREAT". Year after Year NA has the honor to face the best teams and not just LCK teams but teams around the WORLD and yet the meta picks and strategies look 100% identical to Korea's. How disappointing!

Honestly if NA goes back to Korea to train for next year's worlds. I would just scrim with my fellow NA teams that made it to Worlds and no other team or just not GO as it would just be a waste.
TSM won the 2016 Summer championship was it an easy road? NO, not really. Game 1 against CLG the AurelionSol bug game I'm pretty sure CLG would have won that game, maybe they wouldn't have but give CLG and you're in a long hard game that's for sure. The next 3 games were very close as TSM's average of gametime was much lower in the regular season compared to against CLG in that series by about 10-11 more mins. Cloud 9 besides 1-2 game deciding mistakes( Meteos Zac aggressive gank at mid with Jensen vs Bjergsen, could have won that series against TSM.

So TSM in regular season where the pressure to perform is much lower because losing a game or two is forgivable because you have 4-5-6 weeks to correct the mistakes compared to Win or Go Home Playoffs TSM had trouble against CLG and C9. Why not just scrim them?? They both and gave you a run for your money and not just this year TSM has faced CLG 5 times in the playoffs and 6 times against Cloud 9 so their not going away anytime soon.
Because their not that good compared to LCK teams ? Ok sure however lets say TSM scrims CLG-C9 and beat them 5 out of 5 games I'm pretty sure the team that is getting beat in scrims will change up their "meta picks" and give a fresh new meta pick for TSM or vice versa to learn and develop among the NA teams 3-4 games along the way in their scrims.

TSM alone needs to work on playing on the big stage just against NA teams. Each split TSM is constantly in 3-2 series in which they would be down either 0-1 or 1-2 but someway find a way to win or win 3-0 but be in a fight each series either way. 73 Playoff games/ 20 Playoff series/5 Elimination games/ with 18 40+min games.

Not only do we need to scrim our own teams, but we also need to finally give wildcard teams a chance for scrimming as well. I'm pretty sure you've heard about it, but none of the top teams wanted to scrim Albus Nox because of the fact that they were a wildcard team, and wildcard teams have had a bad history in terms of performance.

With that being said, Albux Nox's performance in Worlds kind of comes down to people not respecting and most importantly **underestimating ** the capabilities of their fellow pro players. G2 didn't respect the pocket picks of ANX. We've heard time to time that Brand is Likkrit's specialty, and we also heard the Anivia was Kira's specialty, but those two champions made it through the banning phase, and of course, ANX picks up their COMFORT PICKS, and Likkrit ends up outputting ONLY 400 less damage than Kira's anivia. Brand is not considered meta, but ANX shows that we need to see our pros playing comfort picks again. We're truly not seeing comfort picks in international tournaments from a majority of NA teams, Like: Jensen's leblanc, Doublelift's lucian ect. The only NA team that is sticking true to their pocket picks is CLG. They always pick Caitlyn when she's open, they pick Alistar for the knockup into trap combo, they pick A-SOL when hes open and we can definitely say that out of all NA teams, CLG has the most synergy of bot lanes and if anything, had the best performance of NA teams despite C9 making it to Quarter Finals.

Going back to ANX, we see that when you don't have scrim partners, you still have the element of surprise which has proven to work in their group stages of the tournament.

in terms of TSM, i thnik they need to do a lot of work around their bot lane. The biofrost and doublift lane was such a horrible thing to watch, and they had a really bad performance and hindered how far TSM could get in this tournament. I also don't want to see hauntzer on carry top laners like rumble and kennen because he just isn't up to par to other pro players with that champion, but rather shows his strengths as a top laner when playing tanks, and peeling for his team and soaking up massive amounts of damage.

C9 needs to either replace meteos or.... replace meteos because of his lackluster performance throughout the entirety of worlds. He is what we know as "washed up" and can't outperform many of the junglers right now.

The sad part about not going to Korea is that sometimes pros do learn a lot from solo Q, like when we saw CLG's game against ROX and huhi did the level 1 roam to bot lane he actually learned A-Sol's level 1 roaming power from KR solo Q:

And finally, i have to see that in terms of Region's performance, NA did not disappoint i feel. TSM went 3-3, CLG went 3-3, whilst EU's first seed G2 went 1-5, splyce 1-5 and H2K having the easier group, and pulling an "unexpected" sweep. Eu underperformed, NA playes considerably well considering who we were up against, and we can only expect more from next year if we smarten up and utilize pocket picks more: Make people waste bans on our pocket picks and let more powerpicks through, i don't know, we just need to change up the formula to find more success

Comfort picks is something that I include in each of my games that I play in solo Q more so than playing a champion that counters my enemies but I can't play them as well but it's meta. For example Enemy picks I have either( from comfortable to least in my champion pool) MonkeyKing Nasus Maokai Malphite ). I'm going to either play my most comfortable champion WU or a champion that I'm 75% comfortable on but might be countered by the Renekton Mao.

Play what you are GOOD at instead playing waht the KOREANS are good at instead and was the ones that made the Meta to being with makes 0 sense to me.

Agree with the teams not scrimming with ALB and where is ALB ???? Oh yeah QT FINALS. Let the other regions think NA is pure garbage that is where the physical and mental coaches should come in and help the NA teams out and build their confidence back up.
What I'm trying to say is be the underdog nothing is wrong with being the underdog David from the bible was an underdog, The NYG 2007, DAL Mavericks 2011.
NA will do much better if the rest of the world and their peers think the NA teams are bad because the only way to go from being the worst ..... THE BEST.

thing about that is all the top teams go to korea to ''boot camp'' basically to scrim if NA stayed in NA they would have no top teams to practice against.

I watch competitive League of Legends because I love the game and enjoy watching the best players in the world duke it out. NA gets knocked out every year, Oh well, there are still great teams to watch play. It just so happens they are Korean. You don't have to be Korean to be a fan of Korean teams.

A lot of this stems from exactly how Riot has allowed the competitive scenes in the regions to play out differently. KR with 0 ping while no other region has had it. KR abusing the multiple rosters in the same organization approach previously, the lack of cross-region tournaments, the lack of actually regulating the teams in NA to allow them to properly foster talent from solo queue. KR literally has better anti-scripting mechanisms in place as well.

It's really just nonsense. NA players should really be sick of it by now.
